Very nice hotel on the waterfront. Great restaurant and hot tub. Rates are good for a quality hotel and prime location.

A fantastic property, located perfectly in Cannery Row. Great views, attentive and gracious staff. Room was perfect with a partial bay view and a fireplace. Front desk was informative, gracious. Bell staff was incredibly kind, and very timely. Just a wonderful hotel

perfect spot to stay

We booked an ocean front room. We got a room facing the courtyard. If you sat on the couch at just the right place, you could get a partial ocean view. Some ocean front rooms are actually even across the street in a different part of the hotel. "Ocean front" seems loosely defined. The hotel has eliminated the concierge position--you are on your own for restaurant recommendations and making reservations. They charge $50 a night (all in) for parking. The valet parking staff has fewer positions, so you may wait for your car as the people they do have try to do their best. All of this would not be so bad but we paid, again all in, $800 a night for the room for what we hoped would be a special, romantic week-end. In short, poor value for the money as the owners seemingly do whatever they can to extract the most profit from the property.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I absolutely loved and would recommend this hotel to everybody. The room was amazing and we had the most beautiful ocean view. The service was incredible. I've never felt so taken care of.

Perfect location. Literally just a couple 100 feet from the aquarium.

I booked for a room with ocean view, when i arrived, the room barely have any view of the ocean. Called the front desk about it and told me that it is what i booked and it is the room with ocean view. Did not even try to check if it really is the correct room

Great property location! Restaurant was wonderful!

After walking past it many times, this was our first time staying at the Intercontinental. It was super convenient with a child to be so close to so much. The only issues we had with our stay were very minor. Our room had a patio and since it's dog friendly, there was a used dog poop bag left out there as well as a good amount of dog poop smeared on the ground still. Our bathroom sink was also smelly when we walked in and then after taking a bath, we saw it filled up with dirt and debris from issues they were having with a room near us. They had to come to our room multiple times, but they fixed the problems within our first few hours of checking in. Overall, we will definitely stay here again. The restaurant and the entire staff were super friendly.

Wonderful stay

The property is accessible to many eateries and the aquarium. I liked the friendly staff and scenery.

My family of four stayed one night in a double bed premium room. We appreciated that the room was clean, updated, had a separate shower and bath, mini fridge (stocked), a coffee machine, two free reusable water bottles, and my 8 year old son thought the tabletop Zen garden was cool. We liked that each floor had a water station. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The double beds were full size beds (a little smaller than a queen size), but we slept fine. What we liked the most was its location — a very short walk to the aquarium. We also appreciated that the staff was able to hold our luggage while we went to the aquarium until our room was ready, and we were also not charged a second day of parking the following day (until 6 PM).
