The location was great, nice and close to the royal mile, walking distance to the train station, and surrounded by many restaurants and shops. The staff were all friendly and willing to help. The room was nice and big as is the bathroom however the shower was very small once u put the shower curtain around ( wheelchair accessible). The only negative we had was the experience of the elevators. They are incredibly slow. Many times it would skip our floor altogether or it would pick you up only to go up and not down. After waiting 15 mins and still no elevator we lugged the stroller down the stairs. The breakfast was good and free which was amazing. They also gave us a to go breakfast the morning we checked out as we had an early morning flight. The beds were a bit hard. By the second night my hips ached but the location and spacious room made up for the beds. Had we stayed longer than the 2 nights it might have been more of an issue.

Easy to get around from the hotel, continental breakfast was great, and staff were helpful.

Great service and an excellent breakfast. The hotel is so lean and tidy it looks like it was recently renovated.

Staff great, very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, comfy and warm. Good housekeeping team. And the bar is open 24 hrs, which is a bonus when you fancy that 7am glass of wine 😄 Breakfast was very good. Lots of variety and choices of hot and continental. My only small issues were: 1. TV in my room wasn't working 2. The coffee at breakfast was mingin.

Bathroom smelled like the sewer. Had to cover shower drain to stop the smell. I would not recommend this hotel.

We love this Holiday Inn Express. All the staff especially PANUWAT were great. Panuwat made sure we had everything we needed. He explained all the hotel had to offer. He was kind and patient. Because we are loyalty members (this is our 4th time at this property) he was able to get us a late check out for my senior citizen mother. Thank you Panuwat and IHG!!

The rooms were designed smartly for a small space. Exceptional shower with great water pressure and easy to use shower head. Great soaps and shampoo. Largest towels I ever had in an economy hotel. The breakfast was decent. Great location. Very quiet!

I only stayed for one night but I really enjoyed my clean, quiet and spacious room. Staff was very welcoming, allowing me to check in early. I also liked the complimentary breakfast buffet. Lots of choices! When I visit Edinburgh again, I will definitely stay here. Highly recommend.

Comfy bed, no complaints about the room. Breakfast was hit and miss, things running out all the time with 10 minute waits for certain items

The hotel is situated at a great location in the heart of old town Edinburgh and a turn away to the Royal Miles. The hotel is in great condition. Staff and services are exceptional. We will stay at the hotel again next time we would be back at Edinburgh.

Location is just walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions, restaurants and pub. Hotel has friendly and helpful staff.

Easy location to get to if you dont mind a steep hill

The staff were great. The room was a little small but serviceable. The close proximity to the Royal Mile and train station was much appreciated.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was super helpful, but the rooms are teeny tiny so just be aware.
