Clean,quiet and beautiful surroundings.

Brilliant place to stay and I would thoroughly recommend. Accommodation was really clean and staff were extremely friendly 5* service 👍😀

Really nice massive rooms in a period building. We stayed as a family of 5 and even the sofa bed was comfortable.

Lovely country vibe and very peaceful. Incredible for a getaway and great location. Staff was really friendly and communicative throughout my stay. Room was clean and modern and had everything you needed!

Booked through hotels.com 2 months prior to stay, no where was it advertised that there would be no food available or even a bar open during our stay. There is no where that is walkable from the property either. Was told that frozen meals are available in hotel pantry/shop! Found the staff to be quite rude, despite calling ahead and being assured room would be available for our slightly early arrival (45 mins before 4pm check in) was

Something of a surprise gem. First impression was excellent and the friendliness of the staff was really refreshing and continued from start to finish (thank you). Excellent rooms with very comfortable beds and great bathrooms (shower particularly good). In goes without saying you need a car and should approach from Lancaster (some very narrow roads otherwise -don’t trust sat nav). Would definitely return.

Manor House set in lovely grounds complemented by friendly staff.

This was our third visit to the hotel, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The estate is beautiful, with excellent facilities and a convenient location near Lancaster and the university. A truly comfortable and relaxing stay.

The apartment we stayed in was very clean, and spacious in beautiful grounds of the lovely hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was very good, excellent food and good service.

It was my 3rd (or 4th?) stay at Thurham Hall and for the first time I was staying in a very nice suite in the main building (as opposed to an apartment). The suite was beautiful and really comfy, but not without small issues. The wall by the door is thin with noisy floorboards on the stairs outside so you can hear everything happening on the stairs. It doesn't make for a great night's sleep (which is a shame as the bed was amazing). The other thing to mention is that there were small steps up and down in the suite. It's fine when you know where they are, but if you aren't paying attention there is every possibility of tripping as they're either tiled or carpeted in the same colour Last thing to say is that the restaurant on site is closed on Tuesdays. And that feels like a real miss when people are staying

Stunning location excellent facilities beautiful grounds and quality onsite restaurant

We had a fantastic stay. Excellent friendly staff who ensured we had all the information we needed and knew where to go. The studio was so lovely and well set up! Really comfortable beds and we both slept soundly. The location is also beautiful and we were just sad not to have more time there. Hoping we can have another trip back again soon

Overall, this was an excellent stay. We booked for a couple of nights so we could attend a family celebration locally and it was very handy and very comfortable. The setting is lovely and our apartment was excellent, having more facilities than we expected (dishwasher and washing machine) and possibly the biggest bathroom of any hotel room we have ever stayed in! The only (very minor niggle) was that the shower head dripped incessantly - even when we checked that it had been switched off properly, there was a drip. Apart from that, we we very happy and are considering coming back to make the most of a “proper” stay where we can explore the area better.
