Great front desk. A grand hotel.

This is an excellent hotel. Spacious room, great staff and excellent location.

Sadly the staff was not kind or helpful except for one person. Coffee water or tea in the room was charged, the first time I encounter such a thing... spa workers were rude. Its a shame since it is a beautiful hotel, great location.

excellent location, huge and comfortable room, good breakfast

My AC wasn’t working I had to call 3 times to have it fixed. The first night I couldn’t sleep because the terrible noice the fan was making I’ve been staying at this hotel for 30 years during my visits in Bulgaria I used to brag about it to all my friends This year there are signs or decline. I still enjoy the location and the space in the rooms, but there is evidence of overall quality worsening

Very nice hotel in good central location. Service and food were excellent. Service and cleanliness were very good. Definitely recommend this hotel for quality at a reasonable cost. Would stay here on any future visits to Sofia

Pleasant stay

Our room was spacious and beautiful. However, sleeping was difficult due to graduation parties all 3 nights. It was noisy and the restaurant was fully booked for our entire stay. Also, we had to ask for coffee every day since no one replenished our supplies.

Good hotel Good location Good value for money

Please be aware that in Bulgaria, prices may be quoted in both the local currency (the Lev) and in Euros (€), even though the country is not yet in the Eurozone. If you book any trip through the hotel, make sure to confirm which currency they are using—better yet, ask for a printed pricing sheet. We booked a tour through a hotel employee who gave us the price over the phone but did not specify the currency. We assumed it was in the local currency, but when it came time to pay after the trip, we were surprised to find they wanted payment in Euros, not Levs. The hotel itself was very nice and conveniently located near everything.

The name says it all. Grand breakfast, Grand rooms and over the top with the marble LOL … I understand why some reviews call it dated but it’s old fashioned & old worldly Grand (with some art deco). Lots of marble, Red carpets, plush drapes and sofa sets, wall paper, cornices dados & dark wood furniture. But all newish and well maintained. You will love it - like stepping into the charming old grand hotels of early 2020’s. Nothing is too much trouble!! 1 major downside to note. Weekends invariably means very loud music for wedding and birthday parties on 2nd floor, so bring ear plugs or request a room on top floors.

Great hotel in great location

Massive room and fairly quiet whilst we were there.

The breakfast was limited. Our family room was large and overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

What I like about this hotel is that everyone I interact with, from the cleaning crew, to reception, concierge, lobby bar (Michaela and Danko) are really nice and friendly professionals. Thank you, see you soon :-)

Nice hotel, absolutely huge rooms. But the furniture was old. The bathroom outdated, poor shower. Really good potential but would benefit from some modernization.

Well, the name is right, it is a "grand" and stately hotel. The rooms are enormous. Everything worked well and the staff were helpful. The location is central and very convenient for exploring Sofia on foot.
