Beautiful location

Old town, smaller hotel, less crowd.

Front desk was not very friendly. Eveyone else was I wish I would have gotten her name!

The property it self is really good I recommend it. But some of the staff at the front desk and porters lack costumer service. The restaurant opens at 8am and closes at 8 pm so if you are an early riser or like to stay up late you won’t get any service. There are no kettles to make coffee and the rooms lack fridge and microwave since the restaurant opens late and closes early. Do your research before you go.

Well done. Slightly off the beaten path, but accessible. Great hospitality and attentive staff and good amenities. Large room and enjoyed balcony. Like beach access but understand 8 am to 8 pm timeframe. Thanks.

I like the cleanliness in the bedroom and all the property, front beach, and close to the Old Puerto Vallarta Town. Bedroom fit for the purpose, no luxury but comfortable, check in and check out fast.

I asked to check-in upon arrival around 1pm. I was told check-in was 3 pm, though my room could be available sooner. Check-in staff spoke minimal English and were a bit surly. They allowed me to leave my luggage with the concierge, so I left to go shopping coming back after 2:30. The room was still unavailable, so I changed into my bathing suit in the hopes of having some pool time. Unfortunately, the pool was packed and not a single lounge chair was available. Some people had put their towels and personal effects on the loungers and never used them.The pools were packed with screaming children and there wasn’t even a place for me to leave my things by the pool while I went for a dip. Plus the water was looking a little murky. I checked several more time on my room but it wasn’t available until after 4 pm. I was excited to finally get to my room but my heart sank when I saw it. It was really shabby accommodations. All the furnishings were really dated, old and warn. Though it had been superficially cleaned there was dirt, dust and hairs all over the floors and some surfaces. On top of that, the room stank. When I had a shower, the drain didn’t function well and I quickly found myself standing in an inch or two of water. In the morning when I checked out they asked me for the remote control for the air conditioner! Apparently I was supposed to bring that back to the front desk but no one had asked me to. Worst hotel experience in a long time.

I had no regrets booking here! Amazing beachfront views cannot be beat for the price! I’d stay here again.

This looks like a mini resort, you are getting a bang for your buck here. Two pools followed by full service beach.

The staff are so friendly,waiters,housekeeping and especially the front desk. Anna was so helpful and friendly.

We love the Tropicana. It’s our favourite hotel when we come to PV. Might be time for some new pool chairs. They are getting worn out.
