Great hotel. Food was excellent, staff was excellent, pool is really nice, and everything is handicap accessible, sea is 2 min walk from lobby. The only thing I had a hard time with was, how small the rooms were. As 2 people we already had a problem to fit with couple suitcases and some water stuff, having kids in the room would be impossible. But the beds are comfortable, bathroom is modern and nice. Just know the rooms are small and if you don’t mind, the hotel is great and I would highly recommend. Oh and the AC works really well!!!

It’s my third stay at this hotel. Spacious, comfortable, family-friendly property. Quiet premises on the Adriatic Sea.

Hard to fault but if I tried I'd say no coffee at dinner and terrible orange juice at breakfast. Otherwise everything great with ever changing dinner buffet and unlimited beer and wine

Das Essen war gut. Es gab jeden Abend eine andere Auswahl, welche jedoch eher Bescheiden ausfiel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, vor allem an der Rezeption kamen sie uns sehr entgegen. Die erste Nacht verbrachten wir in einem Zimmer in der untersten Etage, gerade neben der Bühne beim Pool. Da wir früh zu Bett gingen und früh aufstanden, war es für uns zu laut um einzuschlafen. Wir hatten ausserdem kaum Privatsphäre, wegen des Ausblicks. Deshalb beschlossen wir an der Rezeption um ein neues Zimmer zu bitten. Sie waren äusserst freundlich. Wir durften das Zimmer wechseln und befanden uns danach auf der Seite, die zum Parkplatz schaut. Dort war es ruhig und man hörte nichts vom Lärm der Animationen am Abend. Im Hotel gab es sehr viele Familien mit Kindern, weshalb wir (junges Paar) den Poolbereich mieden. Am Strand gefiel es uns sehr gut. Die Parkanlage ist wunderbar. Die vielen Bäume boten genug Plätze, um sich keinen Sonnenbrand zu holen :) Auch die Restaurants in der Nähe, boten sich an um dort zu Mittag zu essen. Weniger gefallen haben uns die Aufzüge. Diese waren sehr langsam, weshalb man teilweise lange warten musste, bis endlich ein Lift frei war. Ausserdem fanden wir die Matratzen sehr hart und die Kissen viel zu dick. Der Schlaf war also nicht extrem erholsam. Die Sauberkeit im Hotel und in den Zimmern war jedoch zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Uns gefiel der Aufenthalt alles in allem gut.

Stayed with husband and 10y boy for 5 nights. Very positive impression this hotel made on us. Looking good from inside and outsie and is very well located with private acces to the sea front. for location, car park just 1 euro per day, dinner varius selection each night, swimming pool and sun beds,new and modern interiors, 3 lifts, dinning area - for weak breakfast, every morning the same and without fresh vegs or juice; small rooms and lack of space for personal belongings; nig minut for bar staff, respectless and ignoring but not all of them :) In general would be back again and would strongly recommend this hotel. 9.0 scoring from Us -

The negatives are, some of the staff are really rude, the food (we only had breakfast as ate out for the other meals) isn’t great and limited options. The hotel is beautiful aesthetically but unfortunately the service,food and activities for adults on offer let it down. It’s not advertised as an overly family orientated hotel was a bit disappointing to be trying to enjoy a drink in the reception in the bar and have kids running round on scooters nearly knocking into us.

The main issue is the food and the restaurant. Overall dining experience is nowhere near the hotel official rating. Food repetitive, low quality and variety. Service could be better organised and delivered. I have spoken to reception about the food issue and was meant to be contacted by the Hotel Manager but nobody approached me to discuss.

Kind staff, good foods, nice area, beauty garden, super pool and beach. The parking lot is fantastic and super cheap. Good restaurants around.

I got a good deal and reception was professional and the hotel came across clean and organised. A little hard to find and my cars Sat Nav didn’t help. Half Boar was ok – nothing startling but if you considered as an extra at the price (and not a lot locally)then fine.

When we arrived at Hotel Laguna we immediately noticed the loud Polka music and large groups of elderly people. When we attempted to check in (at 8:45 pm) the concierge was adamant that we go downstairs to eat as they only served dinner until 9. We went and had some pork, soup, salad, potatoes and pickled carrots it was all disappointing and flavorless. We then checked into our room which consisted of two twin beds pushed together, we immediately noticed the musty smell of the room, so we opened the back door. The smell quickly returned after we closed it for bed. In the middle of the night I was bit a couple of times, from what I can only assume was bedbugs, but I was too afraid to look as I know I would have made my husband leave right then and there. The next morning we went to breakfast and it was a similar experience to dinner, very bland and very disappointing. My husband and I both noted we were feeling a little congested but thought nothing of it. When we returned to our room the smell once again hit us like a ton of bricks. I started looking around and noticed black mold around the vents and in a few corners. We decided we would not be extending our stay and moved across the water to their Valamar Isabella Miramare (definitely recommend). After a few hours of being out of Hotel Laguna we both started feeling better and our congestion went away. The one positive I would give Hotel Laguna is their helpful and kind staff!

Beautiful grounds outside. Nice pool area, but you need to claim a chair early in the morning. Nice terrace and seating areas. Fun nightly event/show. Hotel has an ATM and mini store which is convenient. Food is ok with a decent variety. Elevators are very slow. I took the stairs most of the time because it was quicker. Room was small, but ok for one person. I don't think it was cleaned very well because I found someone else's underwear on the floor by the curtain. Bathroom was nice, but small. Nice rain shower head. View of the parking area is not very nice. I recommend a room with a view of the pool/water/grounds area.

I've stayed in this hotel twice. Both stays were great and relaxing. Definitely worth recommending!

Upon arrival in hotel I did not get what I booked and receptionist was not very friendly to help. Tried to manipulate and blame someone else for their mistake. Room was very dirty, shower tub especially and toilet seat as well, some peanuts under the extra bad, light was not working in the bathroom. It looked like nobody clean the room before we arrived. Still had to pay full price of sea view room even i saw very small part of it through the trees. Too noisy in the morning aground pool area when they clean pool, splashing water around, moving chair at five o clock in the morning especially if you sleep right next to it.

I don't want to really complain about anything but the rooms are a bit too small when you have two adults and a child in the room. Barely space to move around easily. But this seems to be the case in all Croatian 4* hotels. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The food could be better but then what would you expect when you have over 200 guests. But if with a few kids and they are fussy then it's great. Our daughter eats everything from vegis to sushi and meats so we never have an issue. But if I had a choice I never choose half or full board. The breakfast was great, good choice. We moved on to another area in our trip to the Solaris in in Dalmatia and here the food is pathetic and so is the service. The staff at Laguna are well trained and quick. The guy at the bar is great and very friendly. I would certainly recommend this hotel and may come back if in the area. This was our first trip to croatia so we had a lot to learn and its full of surprises. Dave
