Decent place to stay. You absolutely will need to use ear plugs or similar if you want to sleep at night.

Nice place! Not having to interact with a lot of people which was nice. Wish there was a vending machine with toothpaste and stuff, but I got around to it with CVS. The area is lively and full of bars, but Philly is slightly scary at night lol, in that area specifically. The hotel was clean and nice, not many complaints in that part. I actually enjoyed it. The windows are frosted and looked onto another apartment building so it lacked some sunlight, but the area is so walkable that you can just go out for a walk. And I really appreciated having the iron and ironing board specially for my trip. Great stay! Would do it again.

Spacious rooms but the bathroom fan was very noisy, lights were not working, and the Roku wasn't friendly. For the price, worth it.

The building had tons of character, was very clean, bed was comfortable. You are in the city and it’s an older historic building so you will hear the city. You will not interact with a human for check in, check out or at all for the stay (no staff). It’s in a great location and I enjoyed my stay.

Site overbooked, gave me the wrong date. Was not given a refund even though i purchased trip protection. Will not book this hotel ever again.

Good location, short walk to Rittenhouse Square and Chinatown. Lock code worked fine. There was a dripping sound in the bathroom ceiling ( no water, but evidence of rust) and nobody is available on Sunday to take the complaint. Not a big deal because there was no water dripping. It will not impact a return stay.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! Access to the building is by a keypad at street level. My Sonder access code was greyed out and I couldn’t get in the building. There is no lobby or staff at this location. Sonder’s phone support line couldn’t send me the code. I was stuck in the cold for over half an hour trying to get in. A person working for Sonder entered the building. I followed her in and 20 minutes later she gave me the access code. If she didn’t come I would have needed to purchase another room elsewhere.

Worst experience

We spoke with an agent on the phone the day of check out to confirm the reservation. We received a text saying we will receive directions within three days of our stay even though it was the day of check in and we never received any directions. We could not access our hotel room until the morning of check out.

Great location. Great sized room. Great bathroom. Everything was amazing! I just could have used a small table. I highly recommend.

This property was an interesting stay, to say the least. The room itself was decent, but it appears this hotel prioritizes aesthetic over amenities. For starters, there are no on-ground employees (at least from what I saw). Communication with staff and support is arranged via the Sonder app. The team was very responsive and enthusiastic about addressing my concerns; however, the lack of employee presence in the building is quite intimidating. Very much a self-service establishment (i.e., you acquire your own sheets, soap, etc. from communal supply closet). There was not even water in our room or in the provided Keurigs, nor are there any vending machines or food options in the building, so I would definitely make sure to bring any beverages or snacks you may want during your stay. Despite these caveats, this was an aesthetically pleasing stay. Room is very spacious and prime location. As a previous Philly native, I would say that this hotel is situated at somewhat of a middle point of all the local hotspots. Great option if you're just looking for somewhere to lay your head for the weekend without breaking the bank. 7/10.

Overall quite good place. Have stayed here often. Only downside this time was there there was no cold water in shower one day (which is a real problem in January!).
