The room was small but very pretty and old fashioned looking. Right in the heart of Venice. Friendly and helpful staff. My flight got cancelled at the last minute and they easily added an extra night.

The personal was very kind and welcomming, the hotel is beautiful and well situated. The breakfast is good, but not the coffee. One day he was too light and taste nothing, the other this he was le goudron. One thing is little bit weird, you need to give your key at the counter when you go out, to prevent you from being steel in you room in case someone steal your key on the street. Witch is not a bad idea, unless when you came back and nobody ask you id's to get your key back.

The room was not as advertised, exceptionally small and run down. Not very clean and overall very grubby. Extremely dissapointed with the hotel. However, staff were helpful and polite.

The Hotel was lovely altho it was terrible to find but once there the hotel staff were great our adaptors wouldn't work in the room the man on reception brought some up which was a great help the hotel is very venetian the bathroom is lovely we had an excursion booked which meant we had to leave very early so would miss breakfast but the man on reception said its OK wel make you a breakfast bag up to take the breakfast we had there was nice lots of choice staff on reception are very helpful they couldn't do enough for us I would definitely stay here again we ate in the hotel next door on the left it was ok we also tried the restaurant on the right just around the corner that was beautiful I would definitely recommend the restaurant on the right we ate twice there and both times was fabulous one thing to be extremely cautious is the public water taxi stop in Mestre near the bus station we had two lots of 3 in a group pick pockets it was extremely frightening to have 3 large men trying to take our belongings we had this on 2seperate occasions there so be very very vigilant

Great location for easy walking to The Grand Canal and St Marks Square. Staff were really nice, check in was easy and we’d arrived early so left our bags so we could go off and explore. When we came back a few hours later our bags had been taken to our room. Our room was compact but lovely with beautiful furniture and the bed so comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here and get a private water taxi in from the airport!

This is a very unique property. Our room had an upstairs loft. The decorations, furniture, etc were beautiful. Room was clean and comfortable. Our canal view was a tiny pocket view with a bridge filled with trash (obviously they have no control over the trash). Breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy. One quirk we did not like was that we had to leave our hotel key with the front desk every time we left the hotel. They did not check ID when we requested the key back and it was a different person than we left the key with, so essentially anyone could have had access to our room. Also, the gentleman who checked us in told us that we didn't have enough time to do or see anything since we were only there for less than 24 hrs. Which was weird since we were able to do a Gondola and a tour to the other islands. Overall it was a good stay.

The staffs are courteous and helpful. The location is great. Pretty close to ponte di Rialto and San Marcos plaza. The room is outdated and the shower is really tiny. I am a 200lbs guy and I can barely turn inside of the shower. The safe in the room doesn't work. Also, there is only 1 power outlet in the room that is hassle to charge multiple devices.

This hotel was very nice and had a view of the canal. Very comfortable hotel.

Alessandro at the front desk was incredibly helpful in arranging a water taxi for us and making sure we got collected ok, he so great! And the rest of the staff was helpful with directions and recommendations. The room was stunning, only complaint was it could use better pillows. But you can't beat the location, its right off the canal and has very close to all the sites but far enough away.

Excellent stay

The room was lovely - the front staff went out of their way to assist us with arriving by water taxi - a trash barge was blocking access to their dock, so they gave instructions to our driver to dock at another hotel, and they assisted us with our luggage and got us back to the hotel. The breakfast was fabulous. While departing, we again asked for help getting our water taxi to pick us up at another dock due to the trash barge being parked once again at the Canaletto's dock. Christian helped us bring our luggage to the water taxi. We appreciated all that the front desk staff did to make our visit enjoyable! When I book rooms, I always look for a staffed 24-hour front desk and the Hotel Canaletto certainly did not disappoint!

This hotel was lovely and the front desk staff were amazing. The bed was very comfortable. I asked if it would be possible to have a kettle and one was provided right away. The breakfast every morning was good and provided a good start to out busy days. The location is great, easy 5 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge, and 10-15 minutes to San Marco Square.

Great location and helpful staff. Off a busy street so nice and quiet yet central and walkable to main attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, The staff were so friendly and we couldn’t believe that the breakfast was included in the price so it was such good value for money. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and we would stay here again ourselves.

All the staff were friendly and very helpful. We got lots of directions from Marco and Igor arranged our water taxi from hotel to train station.
