Melia Mare should really be the first choice holiday accomodation! We felt very friendly atmosphere there. Reception team helped us with a small favour with a smile, room was tidy, balcony view great. Great place!!

Everything was great. Kudos to the front desk staff, particularly João (who welcomed us) and Carla (who professionally helped us with the late check out). All were great, including the restaurant staff and pool area support. The room had all the amenities promised and the location was fantastic.

The Hotel was Good , however Bar refreshments were at limited times During the Day, no Alcohol till 4pm . This was Poor as your on Holiday in a Warm Climate.

Bathroom a little lacking some hairs found ants also around tv area in the room

My hotel room was lovely and had lovely side sea view . Staff were amazing , nothing too much trouble for any of them . Wonderful location by the sea and so much choice of restaurants . Easy to get around with transport , shopping on doorstep . So happy I picked this hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Meliá Madeira Mare! The ocean views were stunning, the breakfast was delicious every morning, and the staff were always kind and helpful. The location was perfect for relaxing by the sea and exploring the island. Thank you for making our time in Madeira so memorable!

Really amazing stay at this hotel. Hotel was gorgeous and in a really nice area near Funchal. Walkable to many restaurants. The staff were really friendly and provided great service. We had the superior ocean view room on the top floor which had amazing views and a private balcony with sun loungers. Included breakfast buffet had a variety of nice food, good start to each day. Free parking in the hotel. Highly recommend staying here!

This hotel charges for “Spa” they don’t really have a spa. They have a sauna and steam room with a few “hot tubs” which are not hot. There was no spa experience we were left alone. I went to get water and they didn’t have any cups by the dispenser. When I got to front desk and mentioned it to the lady at front desk her answer was “you can buy water at the bar” That type behavior is not what I expect at a five star hotel. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Loved the beachfront location and easy access to transport. All the staff were lovely and looked after us very well. The breakfast options were great too.
