While the staff are helpful and courteous, the hotel is poorly maintained and badly designed. There was no prior information about parking charges. The first room (61) was difficult to find, and upon arrival, I almost stepped on a loose nail from a detached wall kickboard (which I had to move back to the wall). The thin windows let in loud road noise, the shower curtain pole was rusted, the bath soap holder was broken, and the table’s veneer was peeling. There were no power sockets within a metre of the bed, which I needed for my medical device. After checking two other rooms, they placed me in a disabled-accessible room. As someone with wheelchair-bound family members, I found it disappointing. When considering wheelchair bound customers, a stain on the floor greeted me, the wardrobe was inaccessible, and the fridge (which could be used for medication) was unplugged with no way to turn it on. The fridge door opened the wrong way, the kettle was too high, and the bathroom towel rail was difficult to reach. The room faced the car park, but excessive furniture would make it hard for a wheelchair user to close the curtains. Definitely not what I expect from a Mercure or for the price paid given there were much cheaper options available with higher quality nearby. Oh and the heating doesnt appear to work, small portable radiators not btu suitable for the room size are provided without explanation that the heating isn’t timed.

The property was ok but needs a renovation which I believe is underway. It was a chilly night and if you opened the curtains the cold wind blew through a gap in the doors. The room looked dated as did the bathroom. Hot water took an age to come through and getting a balance on the shower tap between scolding hot and freezing cold needed the steady hand of a brain surgeon to get it just right(which I couldn’t get). The bar/restaurant area had basic tables and chairs and felt sterile. The main restaurant was closed , I believe for renovations, and this may be better once it is reopened. Noise from the nearby train line and planes taking off from Heathrow did disturb but hopefully, if renovated, double glazing will cure this and the cold draft. It is not a terrible hotel and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Parking was convenient and there is a ten pound overnight charge which is ok for parking that is lit and covered by CCTV. It is convenient for Heathrow as it is only one junction down. If you want luxury, pay the extra and stay at a Heathrow airport hotel. If you want to save a bit of money, this is probably a good option. Hopefully, a good renovation will improve the quality of the rooms.

Great location, alongside the Thames my room had a wonderful view of the river. The beds were comfy and the room perfectly acceptable, though no frills. Service at the bar when I used it was excellent and friendly. My one gripe is that the cleaners seemed to start work in the corridors at 7am and I'm afraid that vacuuming in the corridor at 7.30 on a Sunday morning is not thoughtful.

When I stayed first time I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the room. It was a good-sized room with a balcony. The bed was very comfortable. I had a great night's sleep. The second time was just as good as the first, and it exceeded all of my expectations.Hotel staff is exceptional⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I really liked the hotel, staff were fantastic and the location was really good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would highly recommend this hotel and definitely stay there again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was adequate for my needs. The building is 200 yrs old and Accor is still in the process of renovating it.

Comfortable room and bed. Good loation. Heating not working so had to request portable heater Had requested ground floor room as we had our elderly dog with us but were allocated and upstairs room furthest from entrance. No lift so carried our staffy up and down stairs for 3 days. Considering they charge extra for a dog it would be good to have an appropriate room as requested.

Excellent value for money. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good position on the river bank and an easy walk into the town centre if you need to.

The location on the river with parking was excellent. On arrival the staff was very friendly 🙂. Nice little bar area was cosy, the back of hotel had a very nice out door patio overlooking the river. If theres 1 thing that lets it down its the cheap table and chairs down stairs which gives it a cheap feel, and the room needs a colour transformation to make it feel warmer, with a slightly more modern feel. The view from the balcony was pricless even on a cold winters night.. overall it was a pleasent stay with my comments being a positive rather than a negative as id give it a solid 7/10 with room to slight improvement to get it to a 9/10. Wasn’t planning to stay near Heathrow but Storm Bert and a cancelled flight had other ideas. The hotel was perfect after a tiring day and the staff were great👍

I booked the hotel as it stated free parking but when I got to the hotel, car parking was £10 a night. The weather was cold and I was advised that radiators in the bedrooms are not switched on! My room was so cold. The only plus point was breakfast. Lots of choice and the quality was good.
