Breakfast and meals were excellent. Service on point. The garden suites are quiet and tucked away from the main hotel, very spacious and well appointed. Wardrobe carpentry and TV could do with an upgrade. Otherwise a nice getaway from London

Staff were wonderful. Location perfect. Rooms were well kept. The only issue was the extreme cold. Both our rooms were exceptionally cold with no means to heat other than an inadequate plug in radiator that offered very little benefit.

A very pleasant two-night stay in a convenient location in Winchester. Good value for money given its premium look and feel. My only concern was confusion over the way my credit card was loaded on check-in with the full cost of the booking + another almost full day.

Such a disappointment, having stayed in really great Hotel du Vin's in other cities. The rooms are very tired. Bathrooms awkward. The staff were navigating a new computer system, so when we arrived, they barely looked up to greet us. They did kindly change my room when I didn't want to be in a room where the glorious Georgian windows were obscured by scaffolding and the bar man was really great. But it certainly did not match the standards of other hotels in the group.

The staff at the hotel couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, particularly Anka. I’d fallen and cracked my ribs and they immediately brought an ice pack and changed my room so I wouldn’t have as many stairs and did everything possible to help me. The hotel is charming with a beautiful garden and a nice restaurant.

We spent five excellent days in Winchester. The hotel could be described as boutique and has a beautiful cowherd we ate and had pre dinner drinks. It was very comfortable and close to the centre of the city but away from the tourist crowds
