Charming, authentic little spot. If you like modern, homogenized, soulless hotels, don't stay here. This place is for experiencing Italy and supporting Venice. A little quirky, but that's the fun part! The staff was so kind and helpful, they called 3 restaurants to get me a reservation on my first night in. Note of caution: expedia pics dont represent the ACTUAL hotel room you get. I was lucky the room I really wanted was available to change to. The breakfast was okay and there are a few rundown spots in the building but the old charm and helpful staff make up for it!! Steps from the Alilaguna Zattere stop so not far for luggage. There's even a tiny elevator. 20 min walk to the main tourist square.

The building is older so all the rooms have wonderful charm and character. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with various recommendations. The breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay in the future.

This was the most boutique special place I stayed throughout my Italy trip! Safe and super quaint / quiet. I loved breakfast and staff was always aware of who was in hotel / loved the old fashion rules of leaving keys at property with 24 hour desk attention!

This is a nice spot with friendly owners/ staff. We enjoyed it. It's outside of the main tourist area but convenient to the water bus which takes you everywhere. There are restaurants nearby too. My only little issue is that the beds were more like cots. Otherwise, if you like small, boutique, friendly hotels, this is a lovely place.

Relatively quiet location. Very friendly staff. Room bit shabby and on small side but perfectly clean. Good views from higher floors. Typical buffet breakfast.

I loved my stay at Pensione Seguso! This is the perfect hotel to scape from the crowd of Grand Canal, but still have the feeling that you are in Venice. The 400 years old building along with the antique furniture and beautiful chandeliers will take you in a trip to the past. The fantastic views to the canals, and perfect location make this hotel a real gem. The staff was very friendly. Maximo was super nice and helpful when we were going out, he gave us recommendations for restaurants, advice to take the gondola ride. We would definitely stay at Pensione Seguso again!

By far and away the staff are Pensione Seguso’s greatest asset. Each staff member that I interacted with was helpful, friendly, and efficient. My room -with private bathroom- was very basic (no TV, fridge, or room safe) but pleasant nonetheless. The building’s location right on the water (and thus close to water taxi/ferry stations) and charming reception area do compensate for the room itself’s fairly no-frills nature.

We love this place. It has a lot of Old World charm and is run by Lawrence, whose family has owned the building for centuries. All of the staff were "molto gentile" and made our stay very pleasurable. Big shout out to "Massimo and Yvonne." Location is great: in Dorsoduro right on the Zattere overlooking the Giudecca Canal and a little side canal, Rio di San Vio. Decent Restaurants, Bars, Tavernas, Osteria, and Gelateria nearby. One Restaurant right out the door on the Zattere. Convenient to Vaporetto stops within walking distance on the Zattere and at the Academia that will get you to most places in Venice. This Pensione is very popular with regulars who know to ask for a room in the front or corner. Our room was on the side canal but still had incredible views. Tried to upgrade once we got there but they were fully booked. This is truly old world Venetian style from the flooring, antique wardrobes, sitting areas, and lighting fixtures. It was clean but could use a really deep cleaning as there are lots of little nooks and crannies everywhere. If you are looking for an American style hotel with all the amenities this is not for you. If you are looking for a truly Venetian experience in a charming Pensione, with a friendly helpful staff, comfortable surroundings, and incredible views, this is the place for you. We had a fantastic time here. A great way to finish our trip to Italia. We will definitely return here for one of those front rooms with a balcony.

The Pensione Seguso is like going back in time. You will be welcome but a very nice gentleman Massimo and he will take the time to answer to all your questions. The walk to San Marcos Plaza worth every step because you will be able to pass by different plazas, churchs, theathers, stores, etc. That probably you will never be able to see if you are stay close to the Plaza. In the morning I was surprised by excellent breasfast that was included. For sure I will come back and stay here again.

Pensioner Sergio is fantastically located for lots of short trips through Venice without the immediate surrounding circus. The Zattere traghetto stop is just around the corner and the Accamedia stop on the Grand Canal is an easy walk to catch the vaporetto or start a trip into San Marco. The neighborhood is quiet — you might hear the occasional water taxi or barge, but the neighborhood shuts down around 10pm. The decor is classic. You might feel like you’re staying in a museum. Visually it’s appealing, but the beds and chairs are not comfortable — lumpy, overly firm, and short. Don’t plan on bringing your novel writing or code work back to the hotel. The internet is fine, but your back will make you pay. The other caveat about staying here is the mosquitos, at least in May. Each day my wife and I woke up with new constellations of itchy bites. On the warmer nights, insect buzzing kept me up.

This hotel has a lot of "old world style" with furnishings, light fixtures and a wonderful staff. Not a place to stay if you want real time modern conveniences for instance like cell phone plug ins. The breakfast was lovely. The bed was too firm for my taste. The view from the 4th floor was outstanding. A very romantic place to be
