My stay at Hotel Amelia was overall acceptable; however, my check-in experience was disappointing due to the poor customer service provided by one staff member. From the moment we arrived, she was rude and unwelcoming. Although I had already paid for the hotel online, she insisted on making a copy of my credit card, which made me uncomfortable and was not clearly explained.
When we asked for recommendations for nearby restaurants, she was unhelpful and dismissive, which added to the negative experience.
Fortunately, later during our stay, we were assisted by another staff member—an older gentleman who was extremely polite, professional, and welcoming. He provided excellent customer service and truly made up for the earlier unpleasant interaction. His kindness and professionalism significantly improved our overall impression of the hotel.
