Friendly, clean and central

Room was clean and bed was very comfortable.The staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint was my room faced the street and at times it was quite noisy. Parking is a premium on the street but the hotel has an arrangement with the city for parking at 8 euro/day The breakfast was first rate!

Pros: The hotel location, beds , breakfast buffet and cleanliness were all fine. Cons; The check in was not smooth at all. The reception was rude in communication . The washroom was a bit smelly.

Had a really nice stay at Kastro! The staff were all so lovely and helpful whenever I needed assistance from start to end. The breakfast was also great and location was perfect. Definitely would stay again!

Room was very clean. The Sheets changed every day. Room was always tidy. Bathroom was clean every day shows attention to it. All appliances were clean and new. Air conditioning worked perfectly. The only problem"" No fox American English station on TV. Only CNN and Blumberg business. The breakfast and offered were plenty and coffee was excellent (two machines) Pancakes,Scrambled Eggs Tomato and Sausage. Fresh fruit,Butter for toast,Rolls,Bacon.Very tasty.For the price for a room who get allot for your money! YES. I reccommend this hotel.

Excellent place surrounded by great tavernas and restaurants.

The hotel was fine except for one thing.The aircon. It was not possible to control it for our convenience, it was locked at what the hotel thought was adequate. Also , it was switched off completely during the night, ensuring a terrible night sleep,, or lack of it. I would not recommend.

This area is fabulous for dining. Many little restaurants and a great feel to the area. I wish we had more time to explore.

Great and very helpful staff, particularly the cleaning person on the floor. Also very good breakfast.

Why no reading lights by the bed - only that horrible overhead light? Does no one need a bedside light anymore? Also, having the property call a taxi for you is a rip-off. I was charged 10 euro for what was a 4 euro trip the day before. Do they have some kind of deal going? A total rip off. Staff was nice, but with the negatives, I wouldn't stay there again.

Lovely, friendly hotel 100yds from the centre of the city. Breakfast was lovely but a little limited as I can’t eat dairy. Very modern rooms with very good Wi-Fi, safe at an extra charge and a sun terrace on the roof.

Well placed location within easy walking distance of all necessary facilities. Extensive breakfast choice buffet format. Extremely helpful staff.

Great hotel for a quick stopover in Heraklion. Comfy beds and friendly staff. The streets around are quite narrow so if you plan on having a rental car, just be aware.

We stayed at the Kasteo hotel twice. First for two nights , then stored our luggage there and returned in two days for two more nights. The second visit we stayed in the fifth floor that had been completely renovated. It was beautifully redone with séparer shower and toilet rooms, large closet and very comfortable king-sized bed. We also had a bit of a view of the sea from up there.
