Easy to find and a nice location

An independent hotel in a row of hotels near Paddington Station. I chose this place, despite its price, because we needed easy access to the train station and they had a "family" room. What I did not anticipate was another sweaty couple of nights with nothing but an open window and a fan. It met our needs, but I do not know that I would stay there again.

It was a clean but small room. We were a family of four and it was on the smaller side but typical for a room in London. Very convenient to transport as Paddington Station is a 5 minute walk away.

Very nice accommodation my only complaint is the lack of A/C

We stayed here because they had AC, not believing that we would need it. Everything was as expected except on arrival we had outlets that didn’t work until assistance came from the desk clerk. Our first night she said she turned the AC on. Second night we had no one at desk to assist and on the third a young man said, oh that room has no AC and went to get us a fan. Room was as we expected, but the comfort we wanted with AC was a big discomfort after long days in the sun.

We were greeted by Mel and Eva as we entered the hotel and they gave the best first impression ever! They were so helpful and we were able to check in early which was so nice, although they would have accommodated storing our luggage otherwise. The location was perfect with short walks to Paddington Station, restaurants, bus routs and hop on hop off bus pickup location. The hotel was spotless and there was always someone at the front desk. Would highly recommend.

Convenient place. Quiet even though it is very close to Paddington station. No air conditioning. Desk is small which is inconvenient for business trip. Cost is relatively higher than others in that area. Not sure if it worth.

Great location! Close to bus lines, shopping, restaurants. Also a two block walk to Paddington Station to get off/on the train to the airport! We loved this place and will definitely stay again and tell our friends and family! It’s very clean and in a safe area. The continental breakfast was just enough to get us started. It’s not fancy, but was everything we needed. Staff were friendly and accommodating! Thanks for a great stay; wish we could have stayed longer!

Great place to stay - had to stays over a week. Facilities awesome.

Convenient to Paddington Station and close to numerous restaurants. Surprisingly quiet. Room was small and no A/C but fans available. Staff very helpful

They were so kind and helpful. Mario went out of his way to help me. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone.

The room was so small - we were a family of 5 staying in a family room but the room was so small that you had to stay sitting on the beds so that one person could get to the bathroom. There was no space for our bags even though we only had a carry on and personal bag each. We are all thin so it had nothing to do with our size. The room was uncomfortable at best. The room was very clean.

This is a 3 star hotel and at this rating, the hotel is value for money. It's in a great location and it has the reception desk manned 24/7 together with which, they will store your luggage before and after check in/out.

It was clean and the stuff was friendly but the room was so small that we could barely get by beds.

Stayed at the Athena many times during visits to London. Its in a great location and we always enjoy our stay. My only criticism is that they have now stopped serving full English breakfast and only offer continental for an additional charge.
