At this altitude it’s not as hot, fresh air!

A short ski trip, stayed in twin room on ground floor. Compact but workable as a place to sleep. Great daytime staff. Night staff a bit suspect as one openly admitted to setting fire to a microwave in the early hours generating a very disturbed night for all guests. Oddly no apology or recompense was offered or given

Great hotel well positioned in the centre of Megeve close to the lifts and ski hire. Hotel a bit dated but very clean and the staff are super helpful.

We arrived in the morning and we were informed that the check-in was only available after 2PM. We asked to leave our bags in the hotel while we went to Ski and the only option available was to leave our bags in a public area (reception). When we returned the bags were in the same place and no service was provided to helps us to take the bags to the room. In a hotel where you pay almost +300 EUR per night the minimum we would expect is to have someone to carry our bags to the room.

Check-in staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. Provided us with robes and toothbrushes when requested. Room is basic but neat and tidy. Bathroom is clean but very basic. Located in town so easy walking distance

Way way overpriced and in shabby condition. Over 500 euro a night is insane for a “suite” where you have no full length mirror, are required to stuff a towel behind the shower head to get the water to spray at you, and/or cannot get an attendant to process a ski ticket because they are too busy. Staff barely said hello to me in 4 nights. Moreover when I booked which extremely restrictive cancel policies, I was led to believe by Expedia that this was the only room available - not so once I was there. Regrettable reservation and no flexibility once you get locked in. Location is good though.

Nightmare holidays. Please make sure you don't book this hotel if you plan to get there by car. The hotel does have 41 rooms and only 9 squuezed in parking slots and getting one of those in a busy season is like winning the lottery. There's no free parking in Megeve and it costs 2 euro / hour from 7 to 20 if you're lucky to get one. At the time of writing this issue is mentioned on their website but not on Cheaptickets / Expedia which was where I booked my stay. The hotel manager didn't do anything to help or minimize the hassle.

nice chalet style hotel with exceptional staff - they make the BEST Cappacino I have ever had - and i drink a lot of them - charming town but mostly closed as we were there between seasons

Staff were lovely. English and French spoken widely. Breakfast is not that great and there are many wonderful much better patisseries nearby.

Very close to the ski lifts. Close to everything in Megève. Excellent service. Will come back to it next ski season.

Through last minute bookings our Family : (consisting of three daughters and their young ones) got last minute half term deals at Megeve : and I went along as granny nanny . It was brilliant ! They had all booked accommodation all over the place ias this was all that was left , but the hotel,so central, served as a wonderful base . Le Vieux Moulin and it’s staff were exceptionally flexible and tolerant , from the end of ski day family rendezvous , me chilling out with small ones , evening meals booked by other members of the family , storing our luggage , and dealing with things left behind, and a shop “carrefour montagne”for those self catering two doors away! I’ve never booked anything on the web before apart from Air tickets , but this was exceptionally easy via Expedia . lovely hotel in exceptional situation . Thank you !

Great four night stay in Megeve in a very conveniently located hotel in the centre of town. Staff were hugely attentive and helpful.

Vieux Moulins was a great choice. Al was excellent. I used to have a home in Megeve but was not familiar with this property. It is one block from the middle of the village walking area. Our room was completely modernized but the hotel is charming with many old passages. All of the staff were super helpful and pleasant. The hotel has its own parking lot. Megeve, as always, is still a beautiful village!

The hotel was great value for money, we had a lovely room with balcony. The decor is a bit dated but it's kind of part of the charm. Staff were friendly unfortunately it rained on our visit so could not use the outdoor pool but looked nice. The town is a minute walk away, you could not be more central. The town is lovely but very pricey, pint of beer £10 Euro same price as a bottle of sparkling water with dinner. Drinking wine is a little cheaper. Bought a few olives and bits on the local market, also really pricey. Overall, lovely place but we wouldn't go again simply because "living expenses" are too high but the hotel was great.
