Wonderful hotel

I had an excellent stay at H4 Hotel Solothurn. The property is very clean, the staff were friendly and professional, and the facilities are well maintained. The location is convenient and everything is easily walkable. The only challenge I encountered was that parking can be limited when the hotel is fully booked but street parking can be found. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return!

Cool building along the river with quite ample rooms. We had a very poor check-in experinece; probably one of the worst ever. But, the Manager was a very positive force to mitigate the negatives which make for a better review.

They need a better wifi system. The check in is very slow, the phone did not work in the room, and staff are not at the level of professionalism that they should be. You should not be charged to park underneath the hotel when you are not charged to park outside.

Our stay was reasonable, except the fact that there was no hot water, and we couldn't take a shoer for two days.

Very conveniently located close to Solothurn train station and a few minutes away from the historical centre.

Great hotel with incredible views, friendly staff. It was a truely lovely stay.

The hotel was only ok - the receptionist took ages to arrive and there was a lack of staff working there - the wellness centre wasn’t even managed not very well informed

The information on Hotels.com that all suites have a river view is incorrect. Our allocation was a view of the car park and a building opposite. The ‘accessible’ room provided had a wet room with excellent view of the toilet from the bed. Possibly provided because of a company event taking over. The smaller room that we were reallocated had excellent views across the river and was very comfortable. When a new river view suite was available, that was excellent, spacious and worth moving again for. The restaurant was expensive and the food was average, although the service was excellent, I cannot recommend it. My biggest criticism is the ridiculous deposit/freeze of £600 on my credit card, for a stay of two nights, way more than anywhere else on our trip across Europe! The location was great, the hotel a little worn but excellent, the service good and I would stay again.

This was a lovely hotel. Not so charming, very business focused but the views were amazing. The staff was very kind and helpful. This was such a lovely charming town. Would definitely return.

Walking distance from the center of Solothurn

The room was small, the AC did not work well. There was little storage for clothing. The counter to work on was very small. Pillows were flat as pancakes. Towels were small. The counter space in the bathroom was almost nonexistent.

Great view, great location, comfortable and nice. Friendly staff. Really a very good hotel.
