This a fantastic 13th century former castle near the airport (5 mins) reasonably priced. The staff are fantastic and one has just said taxi's are too expensive and is going to take us to the airport. That is real excellent service

No air conditioning. Dated bedding. Hard and uncomfortable mattresses. Mediocre breakfast. Very expensive for the low quality.

The hotel dinning, reception and bed rooms are beautiful highest standard. Staff go above and beyond to help and ensure you have a wonderful stay.

Welcoming and great location for travelling to and from the airport. Very good restaurant, although not so good for vegetarians or vegans.

The staff was very nice, helpful, and professional with an excellent English spoken. The bedroom had a large bed and contained everything we needed with a little fridge. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is an old medieval castle and makes it very special if you are looking at staying in a historical environment. There is plenty of parking spaces. We had the breakfast included, with a choice of different croissants, breads, cakes, ham or cheese. The hotel is about 15 minutes by car from Assissi and is close to grocery stores. Not that many restaurants around the hotel, but the hotel itself has a restaurant with affordable prices. We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay.

The guy that came to the airport to pick us up was very good. The pick up was easily arranged with a very short wait. The hotel building was very impressive, the restaurant was good with good service. My only concern related to the quality of the shower, very poor condition that made it difficult to clean.

Very nice, but it's a long haul to carry luggage from car to reception over gravel. Wheels are of no use. Also, if you have booked the Annex, leave your luggage in the car or you will have to haul them from the reception back to the car; you must drive to the Annex--not convenient. But it is a lovely property close to San Gimignani.

Called ahead because we were going to be late so pleasant on phone waited for us

We checked in at 12 they where very helpfull.we had to leave at 6 30 so they served the breakfast earlier at 6 instead of 7.The Breakfast is generous with hot croissants and cheese ham juses milk ....I strongly recommend this hotel if you are exploring the area and you have a car.

We had used this hotel many years ago as a convenient short stay location and found it as reliable as ever.

It's not everyday you stay in a room built in 1309. Within 8km of the inspirational hilltop oasis of Assisi, and easy to find just off the autostrada, this hotel has free parking, generous facilities, a Michelin-rated restaurant and possibly the most gracious and helpful staff in all Umbria (especially Guiseppe). The bells from the adjacent church only add to the ambience rather than intrude, and if you listen closely, you will hear the resident parish choir singing their hearts out on every other evening. if you're looking for authenticity without the high season rates, check it out. Arrivederci!

Room for family of 5 was good size and comfortable. Elegant decor and really was a surprising find.

Hotel would have been perfect except for very loud church bells next door. They ended at 10 PM but started up at 7 AM--not conducive to sleeping in.
