The hotel was very clean, modern and pleasant. The breakfast was very good and was probably the best of all hotels we stayed at in Germany and Switzerland. Overall I would have rated this a 5 star stay, but there is no AC and we had no option but to open the window (which faced the street). Unfortunately, we spent the night listening to all the drunks, obnoxious and rude people who think they are alone in this world and can therefore scream, yell and talk at the top of their lungs into the wee hours. After flying 9 hours, we were exhausted and didn't need that. So our first night in Germany wasn't the best sleeping experience. Not necessarily the hotel's fault, but just consider it if you plan to book here. I am not sure whether you can request a room at the back or not? Luckily we just stayed the night. Also, I can imagine that during the summer, it would be miserable sleeping there without the AC.

Tolles Hotel, direkt neben dem Marienplatz. Super ausgestattet, sehr freundliches Personal und ein hervorragendes Frühstück, mit allem, was man sich wünscht. Kommen gerne wieder.

Perfect location, amazing breakfast, friendly staff. Room was small but sufficient and cozy. Windows overlooked the active street which was fun but closed up quiet. Nice to have AC. 100% would stay again.

Hotel was in a perfect area. Wife and I walked everywhere.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Everyone was so nice and helpful to us whenever we asked any questions! I really loved that place!

The super single room was perfect size & breakfast plenty of food with good variety.

This is the best hotel in Munich. The location could not possibly be better. The surroundings are exciting, historic, and inviting whether you go out the back entrance or the front. Beer gardens, restaurants, rathskeller, historic churches and buildings, museums - all within short walking. Great value and memorable experiences.

Location was amazing. Transport and sights on your doorstep. Breakfast was great quality. Staff 5 star.

the location was okay. not sure what to say about Munich in general but the staff at the hotel were very friendly. the breakfast was nice. the room was extremely small but that is what happens sometimes when you travel to different countries.

We were very happy with our stay. The location is excellent, and our room was very quiet despite the busy streets below. The breakfast buffet was excellent, snd the staff helpful & friendly. The property has a retro charm, with clean, modern rooms.

One of the best overall places I've stayed around the world. The staff is delightful and helpful. Very kind people work here. The hotel is charming, room looked newly renovated, was very clean and quiet. The breakfast is elegant, yet relaxed and as tasty as it was artful. Location is a minute walk to Marienplatz, the viktualienmarkt, the metro. The Residenz, hofbrauhoas, shopping, Asamkirche and Peterskirche are within 5 minutes walk. We will stay here very time we return to Munich.

The hotel was very clean, excellent service and included a wonderful breakfast. Above all though, the location could not have been better. We were right in the middle of the old town, just a short walk to the major attractions and the subway.
