We stopped here on the way between the Sourh of France and Baden Baden. We wish we could have stayed at least a week as the whole experience was exceptional. We therefore decided to spoil ourselves by dining in the exclusive Muse restaurant within the resort. The 6 course menu was fantastic.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from here but it really was excellent. The resort is better than I was expecting. The £50/day for kids pool or spa is not needed as private access to the lake is amazing (and its warm!) On site facilities are great, staff are very helpful and although isolated, there are cute little villages on the lakeside road within walking distance for bars/restaurants. Suitable for couples of families - would definitely recommend.

The hotel was a good standard throughout. The location was excellent and it provided good facilities. Make sure you check what is included in regards to access to pool and other parts, including child care. We got caught out on this as they have different levels for parts of resort. Overall a great Location and resort.

Hard to find since apparently one "version" on hotels.com has a different name. We booked under the Residenza Lago Di Lugano (not HOTEL PARCO SAN MARCO POR PORLEZZA). Be aware even though it might say "beach umbrellas" are included, they will upcharge for using their pools (50 Euros!) and they charged us for parking as well. The lake was awesome so we just swam in there during our short stay. Our AC unit in our bedroom didn't work but otherwise, the location is amazing.

The view from the terrace was unbelievable. We had dinner just down to road with "pelligrino" in the title. We had fresh pike from the lake and it was great. The hotel location is very good.

What is there to not say about this hotel. Its absolutely stunning, from staff, to service, to the room and everything in between. The site is a botanical garden, it has a wonderful full elevation change and beautiful stairwells and terraces, and a calming river running through it. If you cant relax here then you cant anywhere. The staff where sweet and very personable and spoke English better then I do, (I also learned some Italian from them) the activities even in off season where made available which was great. The rooms was also absolutely beautiful just as the grounds where, I loved the ornamental key you get, and the tilt in windows where so great as was the glass doors with the sheer curtains so you could let the beautiful spring weather in. I had one of the best experiences of my adult life staying here and I will be back next april if I can afford it again, that is a sure thing!

The hotel was very nice. The restuarant on site was amazing-great service and very good food. Everyone was very helpful. Although I had requested a double and two single beds for our family they gave us a double and sofa bed since they could not find our request. Overall though it was very clean and the location was unbeatable.

Great hotel with excellent facilities and spacious, well supported private beach area. However, most impressive feature was the staff, all extremely friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble.

Highlight of our road trip in Italy. The resort was great and full of amenities in addition to the easy access to the lake. Great sceneries.

My recent stay was in a residenze apartment on the top floor overlooking the lake with a superb view and really comfortable apartment. The lake front area was also bery nice. My only negative was paying euro 10 per day to park my car but otherwise all was very nice including the staff.

The hotel was a long way from Lugano, but it was in a beautiful lakeside spot. Really friendly staff. Our only issue was because we booked a 'room only' to use any of the facilities would cost 50 Euros per day per person. Which for an overnight stay was too expensive. This wa snot made clear at the time of booking.

The hotel was very smart, the staff very friendly and helpful. However we were disappointed to find out on arrival that all facilities were extra to our 'room only' booking (the facilities were charged at 50 euros per person per day) our daughter was disappointed not to be able to use the pools as we were only staying enroute and thought this too expensive. its also a long way out of town and theres not much around the vicinity.

First of all its not often that hotel staff seem genuinely hospitable and child friendly. THis was was amazing for the entire family. Here are so many things for everyone to do. The hotel caters to a family fun experience. The restaurants and activities have something for someone of all ages and its a nice place. Oftentimes kids-centric places tend to wear but this place is well kept and pristine. My children are dying to go back. THey had an awesome time in the pool, and on their personalized Lugano boat tour (thank you Luca), at the hotel beach, feeding the donkeys, finding treasure on their scavenger hunt, and exploring the region. What a relaxing time for all. Loved it! And the food was great too!!

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. Booked a basic room, had a nice view of the lake. Our place had a small kitchen, which worked out well for us. Breakfast is an extra 20 Euros. In the evening we explored Porlezza's restaurants. Swimming pool and beach are free. Sauna and other spa options are available for a fee. Did some hiking nearby.

the place was no where near lake como as I had requested on the location. It was about 45 minutes away along a winding road near lake lugano. The grounds were however, amazing; lovely service, 5 star gardens, spa, fireplaces, reading rooms. it was spectacular with a room overlooking a lake. We reserved for 3 people and were pleased with the bedroom and couch already made up for our stay. 2 warnings: depending on your room location you may want to drive as close as possible as toting luggage was a challenge and the GPS location is deceiving it was the San Marco hotel and Spa. you will drive back and forth and back and forth without that information. Go if you are on your way to Switerland.

We stayed at the San Marco for 4 nights for the purpose of using it as a base for visiting Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, etc.. For that purpose the hotel fit nicely our needs. The highways to these places are convenient. What amazed me was the grounds that were beautifully manicured.. The hotel had a very nice pool with an out door bar, soccer field, tennis courts and other amenities. Breakfast was fine but did not eat at the restaurant for dinner. One night we tried it was fully booked. Only drawback was the dogs at nearby farm would occasionally bark at night.
