Had pleasant visit. In Lake Jackson-Clute area for grandson’s graduation

It was one of the best hotels we've stayed in. My husband loves the Holiday Inn hotels and this is by far the best one.

The staff were friendly at check in but the next night we needed something and the clerk had an attitude. They knocked on our door to ask if we had dirty towels so we handed them over and they did not swap out new towels. We were there more than one night so later on asked for more towels. The clerk had an attitude. Common sense is when you take towels to give towels. The hot tub smelled like a used toilet and the elevator was questionable. It wasn’t enough to make us leave but we will not be booking here again when there are so many more options to stay at.

I recently stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for two nights, booking through Hotels.com, where it had a 9.9 (Excellent) rating. In my experience, it was more average than excellent. Pros: Comfortable bed – got a good night’s sleep. TV with local channels – basic but functional. Breakfast included – though the quality was subpar. It was convenient, but don’t expect much. Cons: No smart TV – would have been much better if I could stream YouTube or Netflix. Harsh lighting – the bright white fluorescent bulbs made the room feel cold and sterile. Warm lighting would be much better. Location is rough – the motel is in a bad part of town. Unfortunately, my truck was vandalized in the parking lot. While that’s not directly the motel’s fault, better security would help. I parked in a well-lit area, but it still happened, so be aware of the risk. Overall, it’s fine for a short stay, but it’s definitely not a 9.9/10 experience. If you need a place to sleep, it works, but the location, security, and amenities could be improved.

We had a wonderful evening in the hot tub, coffee was hot and fresh at night, and breakfast was amazing, we slept well and enjoyed a clean comfortable room!!!

Some staff were attentive others less so. Breakfast was subpar. Don’t seem to be enough staff on duty. Floor in public toilet was dirty. Overall I was disappointed

It’s close to a few fast food restaurants and under 10 mins away from city center.

I liked everything about this hotel except that we had to ask for pillow cases because the pillow cases on the bed smell like body odor. White sheets smelled too, but we modified. Breakfast was ok.

Unfriendly staff. Room was hot and stinky. Shower was horrible. Bad experience and will never stay there again.

The shower faucet was hard to close the valve for the shower to engage and pressure was extremely low and very little hot water

Not much value for the price. AC was set at fixed temp and could not be charged making the room temp uncomfortable. The breakfast service was limited and lackluster

Housekeeping ..hours are to late and there was pot smoking done outside

At first our reservation was a large room with 2 separate private rooms or u can say a room in which you have 2 separatesoors or rooms, but when we arrived they told me that they have a single room, although our expedia reservation clearly says we have a large room with 2 private doors. Anyways, we have no choice as she said she has that kind of room but at triple the price. We took the single room, upon entrance the room, Bedsheets were v dirty, so we had to wait. Room service was very prompt and professional. Breakfast was good. Elevator was making weird noises. Overall, nice family place. V close to restaurants and convenient commute to Surfside beach. Only disappointed and confused why expedia booked us a false room and the hotel has different upon arrival. Front desk told me they cannot do anything although they agreed our reservation is different, and that he will take a note of it.

Things are broken and internet does not work during our stay.
