What an amazing hotel this was, booked two rooms with a sharing pool and they were amazing, I called the hotel to see if they could make sure we got rooms next to each other, they sorted that for us, what a treat to have our own pool. The breakfast was great, loads of choice. The spa was wonderful, had a salt scrub and olive oil massage, very relaxing indeed! All in all we had an amazing stay! Thank you The Island Hotel you were great!

I absolutely loved my stay at The Island hotel and would recommend anyone to book! The hotel was large but extremely well maintained, the staff were lovely and breakfast included such an array of tasty food. Incredibly clean and I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. The pools were fantastic and I easily spent hours there! Such a treat and I would love to return some day. Thank you to all the staff!

Our first trip to Greece and wanted an adults only hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and the baggage staff member was very friendly and gave us all information we needed to know about the property. Our room was a king and very roomy. The room was clean but a little dated and could use some updates, but overall we were happy and it was a relatively quiet room with good AC. We noticed they do not supply wash cloths, so bring your own or buy one at a local market. Our booking included breakfast and we were very pleased with the wide assortment of food and beverage choices. There are several pool areas but you need to get your towel on your chair early if you want a spot, especially the pools near the ocean. There is easy access to the ocean area and a beach across the street if you wish to get beach and ocean time. The walk along the road is very safe and picturesque. There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk if you don’t want to eat in the hotel. The hotel has lunch and dinner if you choose to dine there. For dinner, they have themed buffet in the main restaurant which is good value for the price. Overall, it was a relaxing vacation for my family and the hotel took good care of us.

We have just returned from our fabulous holiday! Really enjoyed it - hotel was brilliant and we can’t wait to go again next year! Food was good, facial at the spa was great and no problem getting a sun bed by the pool. In our opinion there was not enough bar staff as sometimes slow to get a drink but everything else was superb!

Staff is very friendly, hotel is quiet which we liked. 2-3 floors blocks, spread out, well designed to make it calm and relaxing. Main Restaurant is great, with fantastic views facing the sea. Beach is good immediately outside hotel. Quiet area outside. Only things we didn’t like much was bathroom not having walls (yes, it was open, except toilet), the air con being positioned above bed instead of a place where you don’t feel the cold air blowing into us while sleeping and the mosquitos, which made leavibg window open impossible (mosquito nets in windows would have been great)

If you're looking for a quiet, restful break, The Island is perfect. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. It felt safe, peaceful and the hotel is beautiful and kept in perfect condition. The only small critique is the gym equipment needs to be upgraded, but I wasn't upset about staying by the pool more.

This property was amazing!! We stayed for 3 nights for our honeymoon and loved it. There are 3 shared pools (one quiet, one with a pool bar and one infinity pool). There is a beach right across the street. There is basketball and tennis courts, a spa and a breakfast and dinner buffet on site. There is even a little store with pretty much anything you could need. The hotel staff was great and helped us book transport to and from the ferry ports. Our room was beautiful which had a private pool for us, we highly recommend this stay!

The stay was good for the most part. Its a beautiful jotel with plenty potential. Most attractive on the stretch. A bit dated in the lobby and landscaping needs to be maintained. The maids just knock and enter at the same time. Walked in on me twice.

Unpleasant woman on entrance to dining room for breakfast and dinner. Queues to get into the restaurant even though lots of tables were available. Not allowed to keep your restaurant purchased wine for a second night. Really good Pilates, stretching and yoga. But all the classes were in the morning, one after the other. How can a person attend these and have breakfast. So frustrating. The main pool was great until 13:30. But then the DJ started up. As far as I could tell he was the only person enjoying the bizarre selection of music. It would have suited me better to have no DJ!

This is an excellent location for a tranquil break. Good food choices with lots of flavour. There was always space around the pools and the beach was easy to access. It was shallow enough to snorkel and spotted a few fish. I would choose this hotel again when I visited Crete. The bus stop was quite a walk away but the buses are easy to use.

We had a great honeymoon here. The food on the property was delicious. While the breakfast buffet didn’t change during our stay the quality and quantity of the food was great. There was a litany of activities on the property each day and we did partake is some of the music events. I think this resort is a great place to stay if you want to relax and have short drives (15 minutes) to other larger towns. One negative was the hot tub and steam bath were not functioning. The sauna was working fine. We paid extra to use them after our massages but only 1/3 was working properly. We should have been alerted of this before paying. Positives: the resort showered us with treats in our room, wine, snacks etc… the store on-site is very fair priced. The pools are immaculate. Rooms are cleaned and mopped very well each day.

Staff incredibly helpful and friendly, fun nights at the hotel bar with dj in the evenings, stunning sunsets on the beach, having a room with a pool was an amazing bonus! Didn’t really leave the hotel much as it had so much for a short, relaxing break

This hotel was all that we expected, and more. The Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We booked bed and breakfast, and were so glad because there is a wonderful selection of great tavernas and restaurants all within 5 minutes walk. The breakfast choices were manyfold and plentiful, we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in the sunshine, overlooking the sea. We booked a suite with its own pool, and that was simply sublime. We were able to relax on our own double sunbed in our own pool, with complete privacy. The hotel beach is just 2 minutes walk away, well equipped and the sandy beach gives a shallow and easy walk into the sea. We will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

The resort is nice overall but the rooms are small and bathrooms very small. Our bathroom had mold near the ceiling. While the staff was overall nice, the manager Eva was the worst person we've met, and so was the front desk clerk Maria - no compassion for people whatsoever. We paid for a room with pool, but received one with the balcony facing a wall, and when asked for another room, their excuse was that there are full - we were there in September. Not worth the money we paid for. The manager Eva and the receptionist Maria need extensive training as how to treat people regardlesss of where their origin,

Our stay in 303 Cool Room with Private Pool & Sea View The Good: HOUSEKEEPING services were impeccable, looked after by a lovely lady who interpreted our broken Greek Ianguage with guile. I encourage people to always tip them, a hard days work with generally a wage not commensurate with effort. THE BAD: The MAIN POOL music is club genre from the resident DJ, who clearly likes to increase the bass on the tracks, I often wondered if they were practicing sets before auditioning for a club residency in Ibiza (read the room, ALWAYS). The COOL ROOM WITH PRIVATE POOL is only private as there is a perspex partition separating the pool with the next room, the water within is “shared”. The tiles above the water line were yellow/green indicating a lack of cleaning, perhaps this is a seasonal task, but clearly needs to happen more often. Also, the 350 Euros per night does not correlate with the size of room, perhaps pricing needs to be adjusted. GYM: Overall the equipment is satisfactory but with no instruction manuals or QR codes to scan to use it safely. Also, bring your own water, none is offered or supplied. On the morning I discovered this I tried to acquire water from The Kitchen during breakfast service, but was informed that I could fill my water bottle but must consume it before I left or purchase bottled water, so I chose to leave the hotel and walk to the supermarket opposite The Island restaurant (unrelated business) rather than purchase it from The Island. OVERALL: 6.5/10
