As always, spot on

The Chudleigh is an absolute gem, run by the same couple for 61 years! My room was lovely, actual chairs to sit in and read (no need to slump on the bed!), a teapot, biscuits and chocolate and a great selection of teas. The bed was comfy, shower hot and powerful and breakfast was outstanding with fruit and yoghurt, cereal, toast and a range of cooked items and an amazing choice of spreads and jams. I can't praise this hotel enough, the staff and owners were really friendly and helpful, parking is right outside and I had a great stay. So much so I'm tempted to visit Clacton more just so I can stay here! It was also incredible value for money.

What a lovely place to stay. It was very clean and the bed so comfortable I slept very well. It had a homely feel and the owners were very friendly. There were lots of small touches in the room too. My dog Moly came and was warmly welcomed. The breakfast was outstanding and all of this was great value too.

Probably one of, if not the nicest B&Bs we've ever stayed in. Where do I begin. The room was so clean and warm, with a heated towel rail in the bathroom. Egyptian cotton bedding and a comfy bed. Little touches that make a place extra special like biscuits and a bar of chocolate with tea, coffee and water. Even a little fridge. The owners were so lovely, as was the breakfast. There is parking on the front for 3 or 4 cars and the beach is at the end of the road. Perfect.

The owner was so friendly and accommodating, my room was spotless, had plenty of fresh towels, water, tea and coffee selection plus biscuits! Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Excellent value for money. I would recommend and stay again

Carol was a joy from check in to check out along with the rest of the staff (including a small pack of very nice doggos on site for the perfect welcome). The visit was complimented with some exceedingly splendid extra touches such as the bonus muffin at the end of breakfast - which turns out are key to my 5-star reviewing heart, as well as the classy shoe cleaning kit in the room. Talking of which, it was spacious, clean and ultimately ideal for our little coastal visit for the weekend. Highly recommend for any Costa del Clac stay.
