We arrived early to the hotel and they offered us a very bad room depressing room so we had to wait for another room and wait and wait till 4:00 in the afternoon and the checking time is at 3:00 . and then we got the same size room but better atmosphere the room there are very small about 15 meters and we didn't have where to put our suitcase so we clear the table and we put the suitcase there the condition of the hotel is pretty bad and they need to renovate it the carpet are torn and chubby and boldy in a lot of places , the cleaners doesn't come to clean the room and when they come we are already back and there so she can find excuse not to clean it and it is systematically, the light of this hotel is the people that working in the breakfast room and making it they're very nice and helpful trying to give the best time to the guest,and Elizabeth from the from desk that is helpful and smiling , The other making a contest between themselves who is going to be more depressing to the guest the location of the hotel is good. The breakfast is Rich enough and it is not Continental as in Europe you have enough things there to eat

The room wasn't the one I booked. The cleaning wasn't optimal. The breakfast was good, and the staff was pleasant.

Great stay. The breakfast room was a good temperature and good variety of free breakfast food. (I mention the temperature as this was a complaint I read on multiple reviews). Could use a bit of a face lift to uphold the Marriott expectation that people might have. Ice and vending machine is in the basement which is not ideal. Rooms are small, as they are in NY, but didn’t spend much time in it. Loud fan for air conditioner but we turned it off to sleep and it was no problem.

Small room and needs refurbished

Good location: 2 blocks from Brany Park, 3 blocks from Macy's. Restaurants nearby. Rooms are small, but typical of NYC. Nice staff. Refreshments in the lobby & luggage storeage.

The desk staff was amazing. ALL of them. No matter when we went to the desk for assistance or information, we were greeted and treated fantastic. They were as helpful as they were friendly. No matter the request, they attempted to get us the best solution. SUPER, SUPER, SUPER!!!

Great value for money especially with breakfast being included.

The stay here was overall ok, but I wouldn't recommend it. The room wasn't overly clean, but I suppose it could've been worse. The two biggest issues I encountered were: 1) There's essentially no soundproofing - you can hear everything going on outside in the middle of the night. Of course, I know NYC is a loud place, but compared to other hotels in the same area, it's much louder. 2) Despite the stated smoke-free policy, the room below was smoking a lot, and it kept coming up into my room for all 3 nights I was there. As someone with allergies, who looks specifically for smoke-free locations, this was extremely disappointing.

Overall, pretty decent. Good location, good breakfast, ok rooms. Fixtures were broken for the bathroom, you can see the shelf leaning and the holes next to it where it was repaired once already, sheet rock still exposed. Wall next to bed had torn wallpaper from the stair next to it. Many spot patches on wallpaper, and oddly just white plaster ones, really looked old. Staff was great, helpful, did all they could to make up for it. 4 nights in a row and two morning the fire alarm for the whole floor went off. All because one person on the floor continued to take a very hot shower and set off the alarm with steam. Pretty sure you need better detectors if that's what sets it off. So yea, 1030pm or later without fail I would walk 17 floors down to be told again, false alarm. They couldn't credit me because I booked through Expedia, which I think is false but whatever. Might return, might not. Plenty of other properties in the same block to pick from
