Food was good; musical performances in the outdoor courtyard during dinner was great. Staff was courteous and efficient. No elevator in the main heritage building.

I was disappointed by my stay at Rabanka Palace for several reasons. There was a wedding going on which meant that the staff didn't have any time for other guests. When asked about the pool and other services we were assured that we would have access despite the wedding, however, there was set-up going on the whole time with furniture being moved right by the pool and electrical equipment by the pool shower which made it impossible to use for safety reasons. I wish they would have been honest about this as the main reason we chose the hotel was the lovely picture of the pool. Finally, our room smelt like mould and was nothing special. The shower was good. The breakfast was good. Happy I was only there for a night.

Spectacular heritage hotel just minutes from the heart of the old city. Quiet, beautiful, clean. You feel like you have stepped into a merchant ivory film. The food was great too.

My wife and I booked a “Royal Service Apartment.” On the Hotels.com website it is the most expensive option and is described as 2000 sqft apartment with a king size bed, balcony with city views, and all the amenities that one would correlate with “Royal Service.” Upon arrival, everyone seemed confused that only my wife and I were checking in. The front desk then proceeds to give us four sets of keys. Then, they take us to our room. The Royal Service apartment was outside of the Ranbanka Palace grounds. We were taken to an unfinished apartment complex near the highway and train station. The Royal Service apartment is the most expensive because you are paying for a subpar 4 bedroom apartment. The noise from the highway and the train station made it impossible to sleep or get any rest. I immediately brought this misunderstanding of a “Royal Service Apartment” to the attention of management. They told us that there were no other rooms available and that they couldn’t refund the money. The next day they put us in a regular room, gave us a discount on one dinner at the restaurant, and sent a bottle of wine to our room. This was nice, however, it did not offset the cost discrepancy of the service we received for what we paid. We got ripped off from a fraudulent description of their “Royal Service Apartment.” Luckily, Hotels.com refunded some of our money and were very cordial about our issue. Beware! We had no other issues in India!!!

Poor heritage hotel I thought with the ratings here, it will be worth a stay. But what I got was poor service ( every time you gotto call them 4 times to get deliver water in the room) No one asks for any help with luggage during checkin. There was no pool access, they said its because of wedding there, but then they consider no perks for the hefty price paid by the customer while they limit the amenities. Below average breakfast buffet (Its better at any average hotel). Poorly maintained ambience not just with the perspective of the claimed heritage property, but in general cleanliness as well. This property is not worthy of more than Rs 2500-3000/night. Your money and time doesn’t deserve to be wasted here.

The building is a heritage building, formerly a palace. The grounds are beautiful. There is a spa, and at night, there is a group playing traditional music while you dine al fresco under the stars. I stayed in the palace wing and found it rather old. The management should upgrade the toilets and change to modern lighting. Then the hotel will be truly magnificent. There is new wing around the courtyard which was completed in 2000 which should be newer. i like the location of the hotel. It is next to a very luxurious hotel Which practically shares the same building! There is also a row of classy shops and restaurants within walking distance, so there is sufficient dining options for international visitors.

If you want calm and clean room after Jodhpur sightseeing, this one is for you. We stayed one night here and everything was perfect. Thali in this hotel's restaurant is best I ever had.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The rooms were spacious, well kept and had all the amenities required. The outside restaurant was beautiful and had a great ambience. There was live peaceful music during both our evening meal and breakfast. We spent the whole of the second day relaxing in the grounds of the hotel. There are plenty of places to relax whether you want to be around people or not.

Ranbanka Palace is a great hidden under-stated hotel. We enjoyed staying here more than another 5 Star property in our trip to Rajasthan. It has a lovely courtyard with live music played during break-fast and dinner. If you are not too fussy about 5 star luxury this hotel is great for its price. The pool and the lawn is great as well.

We stayed in a room on the first floor, with the verandah overlooking the courtyard, which was very nice. However, that was the only nice thing about this hotel. Each afternoon the smell of sewerage filled the bathroom; some light switches didn't work; the hairdryer didn't work; very basic toiletries in the bathroom; the window overlooked a service well; the stairs to the first floor are just plain dangerous. The reception staff are extremely arrogant and rude. I felt like they believe to be professional you need to be cold and rude; an occasional smile would have been nice. The courtyard restaurant was lovely and the food we had was very good; although the breakfast is very basic. Overall, if you are absolutely stuck and have nowhere else to stay, you will survive a stay here; but I would avoid this hotel if at all possible.

The overall experience was good except that the Breakfast they serve should have more variety and should include healthy food whereas the focus was more on fried stuff.
