Clean, spacious room with kitchenette, great location to explore Basel near bus stop

It was ok. It smells good upon entering the hotel and the staff are friendly. The good thing, its near a tram station.And the indoor pool is also a good additional amenity. But in terms of cleanliness, i was a little disappointed since the shower area can see a trace of calc. Also i thought there is a self service coffee and tea provided on the room, But it was just the machine.

The nighttime desk clerk wasn’t super friendly and, during our time there, often left the desk unattended. The morning desk clerk was much more personable, present, and helpful. We had an issue with some of the power in our room on our arrival and it took some cajoling to get the clerk to take a look (maintenance was gone for the day). He offered to move us to another room the next day, but after getting him to come up it turned out to be a tripped fuse, which he easily resolved. Breakfast wasn’t free, but the selection and quality was very good for a hotel of its classification. Non-French speaking guests, be warned that the TV is only in French with no subtitles so, if you want catch the news or a movie, you’ll be burning your phone’s battery and watch on the small screen. Also, I had really researched bed sizes (they’re different in Europe) and we expected a queen size ( or at least close to it). It was a full and was tight for my 6’-3”, 230 lb husband and I.

Good communication. Easy check-in. Property is no frills but a clean property and nice to stay at.

Exceptional location. Bakery and mini market straight across street. Bus sstop straight outside.Small Football Stadium at the back. Staff new english and helped with any questions effectively.

Clean room, great facilities. Excellent value for money and in a great location to explore the surrounding areas. Staff are friendly. We would stay again 100% The only downside was needing a kettle but not a deal-breaker. They do have a coffee maker but no coffee pods

Breakfast was excellent but you asked “ did I enjoy the free breakfast “ well if it was supposed to be free it wasn’t , I was charged for on checking out.

This place is defined due a refurb. The furniture is dated, the carpet stained and the rooms are not soundproofed at all so it is very noisy at night from people in other rooms. Cheap and convenient parking and friendly, helpful staff stopped this from being a total write off.

Only thing to improve was towels. Had 1 large one ( they consider it large but not really very big) and one small one each for a 3 night stay so didn’t use the pool! Room not cleaned - fair enough but change of towels or at least one extra for swimming pool would have been nice. Also a coffee machine provided but no pods to use - no tea bag’s or anything like that. Did get offered a twin room but had a horrible smell so stayed with double bed.

Clean, tidy and functional. Staff very helpful and proficient in three languages. Pool to myself each time I used it. No breakfast ordered as fabulous boulangerie just across the road. Easy to access tram links into Basel. Much more cost effective and personable than staying in the city. Try Wok 68 and the bistro too if you are staying.

it had everything

Was very cold, heating didn’t work and strong cold air blowing out from ventilation on a bed, I tried to cover that ventilation but couldn’t, at the end I got a cold and runny nose

Comfortable stay with kitchen

Rooms are squalid. The beds were very low standard, low profile, and hard. The apartment was not the same as shown in the pictures. No ventilation and exhaust fan in the kitchen and washroom. Very bad smell in the entire apartment because of poor ventilation. Never book again.

really good value for money accommodation, for the price & proximity to Basel city centre it was the best I could find. From arriving the staff were all very friendly & professional. The room was clean with all electrical appliances working. The only downside was a little noise from the traffic outside, with the room facing the road. We didn’t use the breakfast facilities or the pool, this was our own choice. If visiting Basel again we would definitely consider staying at the hotel.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's in a great location, you are able to get to the city center of Basel in just ten minutes by bus 604 or tram 11 just from across the border. The room is a lovely size with everything you need. The bed was so comfortable and it is in a generally quiet area. I was able to pay for a later check out which was great, and was able to leave my suitcase with the staff until I was ready to head for the airport, which gives me a couple hours to explore before I have to leave, which I'm sad about. Without a doubt I will visit again very soon. Highly recommended for an amazing price.
