The staff was very welcoming, we were greeted promptly and they addressed our parking needs quickly. The room was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The location is excellent, short walk to shore or old town. Excellent place - I will be sure to return.

Amazing and very helpful staff. We arrived and were welcomed with free drinks and cheese platter while our luggage was delivered to our room. The hotel also helped with getting to a convenient parking with a big discount. They also arranged an early checkout and booked a taxi for us to the port. They sent breakfast to our room the night before so we can have it at 6:30am. The room was very clean and spacious. Their restaurant was also very good. The breakfast was delicious with variety and great portions. Great location in the midst of all the actions of the old town. It was a bit noisy from the bar next door until past midnight. The bathroom might need an update for the faucets. The jacuzzi tub is a little hard to get in and out, and there’s no other walkin shower.

The staff at the Avli was extraordinarily helpful and very gracious. The hotel is very attractive, and it is part of an establishment that includes multiple very good restaurants. The breakfasts (included) were great, and we had the best meal of our ten days in Crete at their fine dining establishment. There were only two downsides to our time at the hotel: the first is that our room fronted onto a street with multiple bars that served late into the night, and there was considerable noise. The other was that because there was no grab bar on the jacuzzi tub in our bathroom, one of our party found it very difficult to get into the tub to bathe. The hotel gets very high marks for excellent service, but the street noise could be a problem for some visitors.

Our room was huge, well appointed, and both looked and felt like a guest room at a palace. Staff was very attentive, and the restaurant was superb. Location was right in the middle of the old town.

Very centrally located...nice junior suite room. Very spacious, clean,quiet.Only gripe about the room was there wasn't any mirror in the room only the one in the bathroom. Staffs were very nice...especially both the Staeus(not sure I spelled correctly). Food at their restaurant was amazing.Staeus made sure my nutrional needs(GF) are met on the day we arrived and was very careful about cross contamination.They even send breakfast on the night before we were leaving as we had to catch early morning flight. Their courtyard is very beautiful... Overall I would stay here again!

The breakfast was really fresh and delicious! Wonderful and authentic Creta breakfast.

The hotel rooms are above a popular taverna, with very loud music playing until 2am. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not it.

Highly recommend this hotel!!! The rooms are individually decorated and beautiful. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant and they were among the best meals of our whole vacation! Service was also excellent!

We read about this hotel as being “spectacular”. And it is!! Everything about Avli Lounge is beautiful. Stellios2 was the most fabulous staff member. The hotel is funky for the young at heart. We will remember our time here forever !

A hotel To be recommended

The Avli Lounge apartments are beautiful! We stayed in the Candy Suite for about four days. As mentioned in several reviews, location is excellent, and we were able to walk everywhere. Both Stelios' and Nickos were always available and helpful for everything. Do note that there is no elevator as the hotel is in Old Town and they preserve the structures. That also means you have cobblestone streets which still require effort for even the smoothest luggage. The suite we were in was on the 3rd floor and I overpacked as usual. The guys were wonderful in assisting us up with all our stuff. Would love to revisit Crete and stay at the Avli again!

We were only here for a night as we went further into Crete. The towels in a great area, old town near lots of restaurants. Our room was upgraded and was very large. The only complaint was really the bathroom set up. Breakfast was in a
