Good value single bed room in top condition and lots of space, with a very good buffet breakfast (if you arrive before 9 - after the choice was limited), a small in-house wellness sauna and access (8 minutes drive or free bus) to partner hotel’s impressive wellness centre (pool, several saunas, steam, plus charged treatments). Food in the atmospherically alpine dining rooms was good, if slightly on the expensive side. Not so good: the website promises a direct access to a lift and alpine run - no information that this had, in fact run out of snow and was closed over a month ago. But the close enough run (Notschrei) was good enough.

One of the best spontaneous decisions I’ve ever made; needed a place to stay during my motorcycle adventure through the Black Forest and this was amazing! The extremely friendly staff, food, property, everything…I wish I had known about this area sooner, I definitely would have made this my normal stop more often.

All the staff were very helpful in insuring that our family were well looked after. As we were travelling with young baby and dog.

We stayed for 2 nights and although a little further from Freiburg than we thought it was a beautiful drive and location! Friendly staff and delicious, fresh breakfast. Rooms were very clean and we had a great view out the back of the stream and mountains. Would highly recommend!

We chose this hotel at random from a list on the internet and were slightly surprised on arrival to find it unmanned. It was necessary to go to another local hotel to get the keys. However it was clean and comfortable and the views of the surrounding area from our bedroom windows were stunning. Staff were back on duty next morning and provided an excellent breakfast and were friendly and helpful. Despite the lack of staff when we arrived we were impressed with the hotel and would gladly go back there again.

Very nice and quit location. Friendly staff who already had a table reserved for me at arrival - that is really nice service. I stayed 2 days on business and had checked if an internet service was available - however it was not available in my room and in the restaurant it was so slow, that I could not use it. The staff had no idea how to help - that was to bad. Otherwise a very nice hotel and restaurant.

This hotel is run extremely well by the lady who owns it. Its 15min from Freiburgh through a mountainous road.

Tolles Hotel mit Sauna und Dampfbad. Freundliches Personal und alles sehr sauber. Genug Parkplätze vorm Hotel. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Sehr freundliches Personal, Wellness ist klein aber köasse

Rooms on the road side are extremely noisy because of the cars passing by, even with windows closed. Breakfast was not great either - stale bread, canned fruit and generally average quality produce, clearly not what you expect from a hotel in such a nice area. This was quite surprising as, otherwise, the food in the restaurant was quite good, albeit rather limited in terms of choice.

Nettes Hotel an schöner Lage. Freundliche Mitarbeiter und eine gute Atmosphäre im Haus. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und schön gestaltet.

Prachtig gelegen, vriendelijke ontvangst maar helaas twee dagen geen bediening vanwege vakantie.

Wir hatten ein schönes Wochenende in einem konfortablen Zimmer verbracht und fühlten uns bestens versorgt und aufgehoben. Es gab lediglich bei der Schlussrechnung eine kurze Unstimmigkeit da die Vorauszahlung durch hotels.com Hotel-intern noch nicht korrekt hinterlegt war. Übernachtung bequem, Essen im Restaurant lecker. Hotelzimmer zur Bachseite als Tipp ...
