Beautifully restored building in Downtown Jackson that is conveniently located to many attractions.

The desk was closed when we first arrived. When we did get a room it smelled of marijuana. The staff was nice and allowed a room change. All rooms were supposed to be smoke free. Many lights in the hallway are missing covers. The room was hot and stayed at 76 all night. We could not get it any lower. Now as far as outside the hotel…there are many homeless around. So you’ll have to valet your car for the night. Most restaurants are closed on a Sunday, which is when we came through. Bad timing.

I liked everything

Parking was a bit hard but everything else was wonderful

I stayed one night. My a/c went out in my room sometime overnight or in the early morning hours which caused me to wake early because I was so hot. The shower door needed servicing, it was very difficult/almost impossible to open and close. The body wash container in the shower was almost empty – I barely had enough to wash. And there was no hair conditioner provided. I tried calling down to the front desk and no one picked up. When I checked out, I calmly explained everything that happened to the front desk associate who stated she would like to give me a refund, however, since I booked through hotels.com I would need to contact them to request the refund. She was very kind and helpful and even gave me her name to tell hotels.com. However, when hotels.com reached out to the hotel to see if they would issue a refund, they refused.

Staff was nice, but VERY LIMITED food choices. The hotel definitely needs some updates, but clean for the most part. OVERALL a good place to stay for a night.

Don’t walk outside, not safe

This hotel was such a great disappointment! The room reeks of mold & citrus spray to mask the smell of the room! The refrigerator doesn't work & mold in the bathtub! I won't be sleeping tonight.

Great location, kind staff. The bathrooms and rooms could use some fine detail cleaning, but other than that- good place!

I booked a room with a view and I received a room that didn’t have one

Air conditioning only minimally functional, room unable to get below 75 degrees on a 79 degree day. No functional shades or curtains in one room of the suite so no way to make it dark for our kids.

Convenient location. Nice staff. Fast valet service. Bartenders didn’t smile or act friendly though.

The property is pretty and clean. The staff is great. It is in downtown which I love but there isn’t much walkable to the hotel. The city needs to invest in downtown.

The hotel was dirty

I asked for a coffee maker that worked. They said they didn’t have anymore. They had prom pictures there last night and they didn’t have to have cards to use the elevator. I don’t think that is safe to open all floors to people that don’t have a room.

This is a historic hotel in Jackson and so the rooms are very big and it is a scale up from a normal Hilton garden inn. That said, it is in a very bad part of town and the service is okay. One of our rooms was never cleaned nor given fresh towels. I found a wallet with id in our room and when I turned it in, the lady just looked at me and then threw it on the back counter; no, what room was it in or investigating. Finally, the last night we were there, they allowed about 100 people to spend hours taking pictures and blocking the lobby and elevators including blocking the street outside so that the guests couldn’t use the valet or get to their room.
