Lovely property within walking distance of everything Bologna has to offer!

The location was fantastic. On the edge of the historic centre and only a short walk from Piazza Maggiore. The bed was excellent and the room was spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant opposite the hotel was great and really reasonably priced. The breakfast was good and the staff each morning were very attentive. Although it could do with more cereal and fruit options. Our only gripes with the room were that it was constantly too warm for us (even when the radiators were turned down. Although this may not be an issue for others). The family in the room above were very noisy late into the night (this is obviously not the fault of the hotel. Simply a lack of consideration from the family above us and not the best sound proofing due to the age of the property). We would definitely stay again on our return to the city (later in the year the air conditioning would be turned on so the heat wouldn’t be an issue)

It was a fantastic place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it and undoubtedly we will return if we visit Bologna again. The only reason I didn’t give it 5stars is because the shower didn’t have sufficient hot water one morning. Often, this would bother me more but because everything else was SO good, it paled into insignificance!! The staff were also particularly accommodating and hospitable. Many thanks!

Excellent location, room is big enough, bed is really comfortable, breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've had in Italy, my only issue was with the air conditioner that wouldn't turn on at first, then someone from the lobby helped me get it running but after about 1-2 hours it went back to not working, left the window open (thankfully the temperature was good outside) but then the noise grows exponentially which makes it a bit difficult to fall asleep.

Ideally situated for exploring Bologna.The rooms were comfortable and clean. Delicious breakfast with a wide choice, served in the beautiful garden. The receptionist was extremly helpful, with good recommendations for dinner. Would like to go back again for more than two nights.

Nice hotel with lovely courtyard for breakfast

The air conditioning didn’t work. The breakfast was poor. The neighborhood wasn’t the greatest and there was no transportation options around.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel San mamolo, the rooms were fresh and clean, the garden and orangery was beautiful and the location was perfect. The service from the staff was amazing and helpful. Thank you for a great weekend! Emma, Rob and Stanley.

The hotel was clean, in a safe area, and very walkable to local restaurants and beautiful sites to see. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend this place!

Great gem in Bologna!

Hotel is generally nice. Staff were friendly and breakfast was very good. Our room had some issues including the light going in the bathroom late at night, charging ports not compatible with more modern eu adapters and the bed sheet having a tear and a large mark on it.

Beautiful Hotel, great location, wonderful staff went above and beyond. We liked it so much we stayed another night. We will be back !
