Never stayed in a Riad before - it was a lovely building in a quiet lane. Communicating with the staff was difficult as I speak no Moroccan and they spoke no English, French or Spanish

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! it’s a scam! I booked through Expedia and they overbooked and did not have any rooms for us. We could not even get our money back as they never responded to Expedia for our refund. They offered us another room in another Riad that was small and had no AC. We did not accept and they literally kicked us out of the riad onto the streets. Disgusting customer service! I asked to speak to manager and no one came. Please do not stay here! In addition we had to pay a street guide money to show us how to get to the place as google maps does not have the correct address (we attempted to tell the lady and she did not pay any attention to us). I am warning do not ever think about booking here!

This is a nice riad in the medina. It is initially hard to spot but one gets used to it after few trips. The room was clean, but small for three people. The bathroom was adequate but no luxury and smelled drainage. The staff were suberp and very helpful. We are planning to pay by credit card but had to pay cash apparently the CC was not working. I recommend this place for someone would like to stay in a riad.

This is my 2nd time in Marrkesh and was the best experience due to the Riad and staff. 5 mins from the main square. 10 mins from main mosque and from other attentions. The manager Maha is just fantastic. Made a real effort. Hotel organised taxis, excursions and hamams at good prices.

The riad was very beautiful and the staff was amazing. The first night we arrived the air conditioning and the tv were broken, when we spoke with the owner over the phone she tried to convince us that the a/c worked that way, that it was a gentle a/c and it was fine. I insisted that once we turned it on it would turn off after 30 seconds, finally on the second day it was fixed. The riad is a little hard to find at first, and when you arrive at the Medina you have to walk about 12 minutes carryig/rolli g your luggage over cobble stones. The rose sable suite we stayed at was beautiful and it had 3 twin beds as stated, however I would not call this a suite, there is barely any wardrobe space, and no place to store luggage so you are left with very little room to move around. There is no pool or other amenitoes. The continental breakfast was very good and everything was fresh.

Getting to this Riad involved going down dark, narrow alleys. The staff were noisy, tv blaring, voices gossiping carried and echoed off off all the tiled walls. Spanish guests entered late and loudly carried on as if they were the only guests. The bed was comfortable, but impossible to sleep there with all the noise.

Great Riad. Hosts were great, and provided us with tea and cookies when checking in, breakfast every morning. (very continental. When I say breakfast I mean "bread and jam and butter.) Room was quiet, clean, and plenty of hot water! I couldn't the TV to work, but that could have been user error, and really….you're in Marrakech. Who needs TV?! Pool wasn't as large as I thought it was going to be so didn't use.

My experience here was quite mixed. I had arranged with the ryad to have a taxi collect me in the airport and a cart ready to bring us through the pedestrian zone. The taxi never arrived. (many other Ryads had taxi drivers waiting for their clients). After 20 minutes I phoned the ryad. They said they would ring back in 10 minutes. They didn't. So after a further 20 minutes I phoned again. No answer. After waiting a full hour, and with the airport closing and few taxis remaining, I took my own taxi. Near the city, the ryad did phone and give directions to where the cart was waiting. When I went to pay the bill the next day, my card was rejected; my second card was rejected; my friends card was rejected. I was in a panic, as my cash was limited. On one attempt at using the card, the manager keyed in 9,600 Dirhams instead of 2,600. If that had gone through, I would have been bunched.

Reservation issue meant inferior accommodation on our first night - this was very disappointing. Booking system has to improve as matter of priority. This followed a two-hour wait to pass through immigration upon arrival. From second day onwards, we were very grateful for the personal service delivered by a hard-working and kind team. French toast, cronuts, potato scones and freshly-squeezed orange juice were noted highlights. Apart from having a large and spacious room with a hot bath, we were provided with the opportunity to freshen up before leaving for the airport. A great final impression. Finally, this riad is located in a dark lane off the main street. You may need to carry a torch during the winter months when travelling through the one tunnel required.

All workers in Riad Lila are very kind. If we come to Marrakech again we will definitely stay here. It even has a cute little swimming pool.

Riad Lila was one of the best riads I've stayed in throughout Morocco. Located very close to Jemaa el Fna, the riad is beautiful, clean, and quiet despite the noise of surrounding Marrakech. The staff were very accommodating and the riad kitten was adorable. The only complaint I have was one of our rooms was not ready the first night, but the staff were able to set me up in a neighboring riad and made our group a wonderful tagine dinner to compensate.

What a fantastic place, it is everything it looks to be in the photographs! After winding down some narrow alleys following a little local boy (thank the lord for him!) we arrived at a solid steel door in the middle of an alley and feared the worst... when the door was opened all our fears evaporated, we were greeted with mint tea and biscuits and after filling in a quick form we were taken to our room. The bed was the biggest I have ever slept in and the place was immaculate! Also, I wasn't feeling great one night and they brought us food to our rooms (not a service the Riad offers) which I thought was really generous! Overall a wonderful place and highly recomeneded - a small tip this Riad is not far from the main square at the N.E corner, not near the mosque that the Hotels.com map intimates!

Riad Lila itself is a beautiful riad, the décors were stunning and felt lovely to be in. the staff including the house maid, security man and the manager were all more than very friendly and welcoming which made our stay even more pleasant and also very attentive. The only disadvantage I can say is the location of the riad and the alleys that had to be walked to reach it but the lovely security man was always around at night time and he had escorted us back to the riad every night which didn't make it a problem. The room was very clean and beautiful and we slept without any problems. Overall, excellent riad with amazing staff. Thank you for your amazing hospitality, we truly felt welcomed! will definitely return!

firstly, the address for the hotel was no complete - so our taxi driver & others we asked were unable to locate the address for the riad. We ended up seeing a sign by chance when we wandered up the souks. We arrived in Marrakech at about 6:30pm at night, so the sun had gone down and it was dark. Riad Lila was really difficult to find and for two female traveller's we must admit it was not ideal to be walking the dark alleys at night. The riad itself is stunning, and the staff were amazing. The location was just too far from the square and it felt scary to be walking the alleys at night. We actually felt a little unsafe once the sun went down. we ended up moving to another hotel that was situated in a better location so we could go outside at night and not be concerned about getting back to the riad.
