The hotel is a beautiful old building! But needs updates! Very clean and the staff was great!. There is charge for using towels and lounge chairs in the pool even if you are guest! Not cool! Rather pay and visit the beach clubs across the street.

Lovely hotel very reasonable priced. Excellent location with free parking in large lot at back of hotel. No issues whatsoever. Perfect location for beach clubs and short walk to centre. Large very clean rooms. Dated furniture but absolutely charming. Everything worked well and will stay again. Amazing value for money given location and free parking and breakfast

Fantastic. Clearly this the the most modern and luxurious hotel in San Remo about 50 years ago. since then it has been well maintained, but not really modernised much. The food was fab, the pool great and the pool side bar/restaurant top class. Really top class, but a bit old fashioned - which is fine if you don't want the latest guff.

Dated hotel, needs renovation. Parking is limited

The view and staff make this place what it is. Waking up to waves crashing on the beach and the beautiful views of the riviera are awesome. Everything you need is walking distance, from shopping, dining and that historic hike through old town.

Faded glory. We enjoyed imagining the marble staircase hidden by the cheap imitation wood Lino and then imagining the beautiful cocktail bar and piano room, had it been open. The dining room was stunning, but the breakfast was less than ordinary. A glimpse into a lost past.

enjoyed this hotel, location and San Remo main coastal road can be noisy. the swimming pool is very nice. Casino is a nice walk and good restaurants nearby

This hotel one of those resting on past glories. On a noisy, busy street the hotel was modernised in the 50s so not quite the Belle Epoque grandeur expected. It is also a 40 minute walk to the dismal underground train station in Sanremo. Outdoor pool was shut (opens 1st June) and sunbathing area closed off despite it being 82 degrees and other hotels having theirs open. Breakfast was also dissapointing and nothing special.

Expected more for a 4 star hotel

Stayed only one night. Lovely views. Grand old hotel, showing signs of age but we just looked past that. Close to town and the ocean. Also close to main road into and out of town, resulting in traffic noise.

It still shows its grandeur of years past, but it does need some updating. The Staff was superb, friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs.

Great staff, grand Olde Dame of a Hotel. A very pleasant stay as always. Hence why we always stay at this hotel when in SanRemo

This is a wonderful grand old hotel that hadn't changed much from the 30's. If you want history...you've got it. With that, comes some downsides. The wooden parquet flooring along with lack of modern day insulation means you are at the mercy of your neighbours waking hours. The road is also very busy and noisy ruling the pool out for relaxing. That said, really enjoyed our stay...staff were amazing, a short walk from a gorgeous beach and the lovely town. Would definitely visit again (as long as top floor guaranteed!!)

I loved how close it was to Freddie Mercury's former residence, but also the entire area was safe, and lovely..so were the staff! I'll be staying here again.

Old grand hotel in reasonable condition, in need of a few upgrades but in the whole nice staff, good break fast comfortable beds pool and bars good. Room 118 has no wifi so if you need don’t ask them as they can’t or won’t fix , rest if the place has good wifi . Lower rooms a little noisy overhead good bathrooms .

Hotel wouldve been very grand in its day but is a bit faded now... but still charming. Pool is lovely. Staff helpful. Breskfast ok. Rooms nice. Clean and air con great 👍 Water pressure very low. Balcony view fantastic.

It was an experience and not for everyone. I will never forget these 2 nights at Grand hotel Londra. You will need alot of humour and good spirits (no pun intended-this is an OLD hotel) to love this dusty once diamond.

Very charming clean historic hotel. Clean pool, cocktails at the pool were excellent. Views were incredible!! And walking distance to downtown Sanremo.
