All was good - rooms need a little paint touch up

This was a beautiful stay in the highest peak in the Algaves. Our room was spacious and had a stunning view, staff was friendly and very accommodating! Breakfast was included , however you need to make dinner reservations if you want to eat there. I would suggest doing this before you arrive if you want to eat at a regular hour. After we checked in and settled in we made our reservation and could not get anything sooner than 9:00pm. However the wait for the food was worth it!

We stayed here several times, and besides the service is always 5 stars from every staff, the room where we stayed ( B 820) needs repairs done. Skirting boards broken, lampshades needed replacing, wall damaged and in need of a fresh coat of paint. It's a shame. We love this hotel, but it does need a bit of look after.

The BREAKFAST was okay, there could be more choice, There should be property SAUSAGE more choice of cereals food should be warmer.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast choices. Hotel inside was lovely, needs a bit of renovation on the grounds around the hotel. For the price of stay we were more than happy and would stay again.

Room is spacious, swimming pools are nice.

2nd visit to hotel - lovely location & facilities. Service was not as good as before. We had booked dinner in the restaurant but had to leave within 10 minutes as no service. We headed to the bar & got servdd right away.

Rooms are spacious and clean, service throughout our stay was excellent. Great breakfast - lots of choice and all very fresh. We always enjoy our stay here, this time we had a bit more time to enjoy the pool and pool bar - really lovely facility and very relaxing.

It's out of the way if you want a quiet holiday, you have to get a taxi everywhere to get to the towns and shops

Its clean &modern but not 5* its a bit disjointed and confusing with lifts and blocks. We were lucky we had an amazing view, but lots didnt. We had ants in our kitchen area and bathroom. Only 1 restaurant in main building was all inclusive the other 2 werent - which is nothing ive heard of! Cant get a drink from a paying bar, have to go upstairs to get served! Ridiculous- nothing for children to do of an evening so they seem to get in the way of other guests, or staff, but a 5* would have an area for them to be, its sold as all inclusive and for families.

Nice hotel with lovely staff and great facilities. It is showing its age and a little tired in some areas since our last visit 7 years ago. The hotel has changed hands and in new ownership. Pool and most areas were very clean and tidy. Dining options are limited and expensive so we dine elsewhere but the breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

Love Monchique resort & spa, clean, staff are very welcoming especially Pedro the guest relations manager. Very big room with 2 bathrooms & a great view with a terrace. Full amenities in the room just missing a washing machine for the clothes. 2 pools & a gym with fitness classes. Beautiful surroundings, great hotel, I would definitely suggest it or even go back, thank you Monchique resort & spa, we loved our stay the Pereira family!

Very quiet, relaxing and nice open spaces. We had a suite with patio/terrace and it was so nice - a great interior space with a mini kitchen with high end appliances and a giant exterior terrace with lounge chairs. I'd say the only negative was the truly terrible pizza at the on-site pizza restaurant. But that's easy to skip by driving up to Monchique for better food.

The property was amazing but we had one night with out any air conditioning and had to follow up multiple times to get it fixed. Till the last day it was not cooling properly. I feel if you pay so much, and come for a special occasion you should be able to enjoy a good nights sleep. Other hotels would usually comp something or the other but there was no adjustment made.
