Perfect place if you stop over for the night on a long car trip. Not much around if tou wish entertainment

Small room No elevator

Not a four-star by any means but very nice for a 1 to three night stay. Basic accommodations that are clean and easy to find. Plenty of Free Parking and the WiFi was very good. Breakfast is offered at 7.50 Euros pp and is the normal breakfast offerings. Price was good and the location was perfect for our travels!

E As camareiras fazem muito muito barulho e conversam alto, logo de manhã, bem na porta do nosso quarto e não conseguíamos dormir pela manhã ! Horrível ! Não me hospedaria ali novamente ! E não recomendamos ! Teve ter opções melhores por valores similares ali !

Room was basic but fine for a stopover. Surrounding area was not very nice.

We have stayed here many times before, and will do so again. The Roi Soleil is not the most luxurious hotel, but it delivers on value for money. Breakfast is OK, the beds are reasonably comfortable, and the staff are friendly. A downside is the centrally controlled A/C, the hotel decides if it is 'winter' or 'summer', in 'winter the rooms can only be heated, in 'summer' they can only be cooled. This works fine, except in spring/autumn, where temperatures can be quite variable day to day. Not the only hotel we stay at that works this way, but definitely a negative.

We have stayed here at least once a year for the last 8 years. It does everything right. We can`t understand why it is only 2 stars. Good restaurants and food market nearby. The only fly in the ointment is the hotel nearby, which seems to attract some low-life....but happily which has not affected us directly. At Roi Soleil we feel safe.

The hotel was fine, clean and friendly staff. However, the walls are thin and plumbing noise carries into the room.

God and clean; very good value for money. However, drinks machine out of action (during the hottest week of the year so far) and with no tea/coffee maker in the room liquids were a problem. Breakfast was okay but very basic.

Very basic hotel in the middle of commercial area. If you need to stay somewhere cheap for one night you could do worse!

Excellent...have stayed here 5 or 6 times. Never been disappointed except that reception closes at 22.00 hours...and on one occasion, after an unexpected car problem I was unable to check in.... Just something to watch out for... I had been concentrating on getting my car going again and hadn`t been concerned about check-in times.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions, as the Roi Soleil represents reasonable value for money. The staff are attentive, although they can get overwhelmed when large coach parties arrive. The rooms and breakfast are adequate for the money without being outstanding. We will continue to stay here when we are in the area

Other than the absense of an essental & basic convenient kettle for tea or coffee preparation, the Hotel is ideal and superb.
