The building and the grounds were beautiful. The decor was for us very old fashioned. A matter of opinion I’m sure and probably very French but the old pictures and stuffed animals were slightly too much. Having said that the restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast. We arrived very late and a very kind gentleman, stayed on to check us in. I’m sure in the summer months when the sun is shining and the pool is open it would be even more beautiful.

Superb restaurant and service.

Beautiful hotel in an out of the way setting. Superb vistas from the gardens. The hub of the hotel is the restaurant where the staff seem to focus. Trying to get a drink whilst sitting in the garden is a but hit and miss. Very disappointing that the hotel does not appear to keep in reserve a few restaurant tables for guests. We had to eat out.

Excellent stay at this hotel. We stayed in the cottage for 2 nights- a delightful and peaceful setting.

Excellent in every respect apart from ability to get a drink during the day. Small fridge in room would solve the issue. Restaurant excellent and major improvement on our last visit 10 years ago.

We stayed in the separate accommodations near the pond. Quite unique and beautiful. Staff was great, the grounds are beautiful, and the dinner was among the best we had in France. Staff was delightful. Would definitely go back.

The property is extremely private and very well kept. The reason I have marked it down is the lack of signage to direct you there. My Lexus satellite did not recognize the road and it took 5 calls and 40 minutes to get to the property. The setting of thevretaurantvwascexquisite and the food although expensive is certainly gastronomique but short of 1 Star Michelin status. It is no more than 5 km from Bergerac airport so if it is a very quiet , private and tranquil, this may we’ll be perfect for you..

This property far exceeded our expectations. It is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. Our room was lovely and serene; the air conditioning was a welcome amenity as we arrived during an intense heat wave. The pool was wonderful, with amazing views of the valley. The grounds and gardens are exquisite. The restaurant, where we had a delicious fresh breakfast, offers patio seating with sweeping views. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything about this place was first rate.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the airport on the day before our flight home. We had a very nice reception and had a tour of the hotel and shown tour our very spacious and comfortable room. We spent a couple of hours lazing by the pool before going for dinner. The food was wonderful and we were glad to try new dishes prepared by the excellent chef. My only disappointment was that we did not arrive earlier to enjoy the incredible views by the poolside.

Beautiful setting, impeccably designed room and bath with no comfort detail lacking. Bucolic scene from the swimming pool adds to the overall relaxing atmosphere as one’s access to the owners’ library. Food was delicious. I can not recommend more highly.

Absolutely delightful. The owners have scrupulously restored and maintain the property. The restaurant is excellent. The setting is beautiful and quiet. A perfect stay if you want to relax or tour the region.

We stayed here because all other reviews on this site were 5*. However, we arrived on a Tuesday in 35 deg heat, and since the restuarant is closed on Tuesdays, there is no way to purchase a meal or cold drink. So we had to leave immediately to go and find a cold beverage and dinner. Since the hotel is in a country location, you must drive at least 10-15 km to find restuarants and bars.Be aware that on Tuesday this is self-catering accomodation, not a hotel. Apart from this, everything is great and the other 5* reviews are accurate.
