Great location. In the old area of Porto but still accessible for taxis. Right near the train station, and the Douro River is a 10 minute walk away. Huge bed! Great shower. Quiet. Fantastic breakfast

We loved the location of the PortoBay Teatro. Very close to the Bolhao Market and to a grocery store. Walkable to so many attractions. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel every morning, and really enjoyed the two meals we had at the adjoining Il Basilico restaurant. All the staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming before, and during our stay. We were guests of the hotel for 6 nights and loved the entire stay!

Great location, convenient to restaurants and sites- A long walk to River, however. Restaurant staff and food in Italian Restaurant excellent. Room was quiet. I found the breakfast Buffett to be nothing d as special. Pastries and coffee were fine, the eggs not so much.

From checking to check out this is the perfect place to stay while in Porto. Spacious, clean, and quiet rooms. Very well run hotel in Brie center of everything. Many good restaurants with in walking distance. Close to all the major tourist destinations. Highly recommend.

The staff was excellent, helped us choose excellent restaurants, clean and tidy, good parking in the building. Very good breakfast.

The lobby and restaurant were both lovely. The room was worn and needed some attention. Stains on the carpet - mildew in the shower. Very friendly staff.

Housekeeping was impeccable; coming back each day to a perfectly clean, fresh room after exploring Porto made all the difference. The staff truly stood out, consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, always ready with a smile or a recommendation. The bar deserves a special mention as well, as their Porto tonic was perfectly refreshing and quickly became a favorite. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a generous and well-curated buffet that catered to every craving. Every detail felt thoughtfully done, and every interaction made us feel well taken care of. Thank you to the entire team at PortoBay Teatro for making our stay so memorable. Outstanding hotel with spacious rooms and excellent amenities. Right in the center of the old city, many restaurants and cafes close by. Highly recommend !

The rooms were small & provided very little space to put your belongings.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding and so delicious! Many of our friends enjoyed a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant as well.

We loved our stay at PortoBay Teatro. The location is just perfect for discovering Porto. It is a 3 minute walk from the iconic Sao Bento train station, and you can walk to all major attractions within 10 to 15 minutes. There is excellent public transport but Porto is a city to experience on foot. Our room was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a decent selection- I really loved the coffee. We also ate in the restaurant Basilica- the food there is stunning. Staff at PortoBay Teatro are very helpful and for any first time visitor to Porto this is a perfect place to base yourself.
