Lovely hotel, with bags of charm. A great garden, fab pool with doors opening to the garden. Staff were friendly and attentive. A tip if you are a light sleeper is to avoid Rm. 205 as the air con unit is directly beneath and rumbles on and off throughout the night. It wasn’t too much of a problem for us but worth knowing.

A one night stop over near where I grew up. Reasonably priced for the area.

Hotel is understaffed, and a bit tired , the rooms are ok but dated. No towels in the pool area , the garden terrace is lovely as it’s the conservatory, but it was an expensive hotel for the condition it’s in.

Just an overnight stop, but good to find a pet free hotel in the area. For people with serious allergies, these are hard to find. The staff were very attentive from reception to waiter staff who served us in the morning with lovely smiles We both had cooked breakfast..not to be missed..Hold on to that chief

The Angmering Manor is a lovely looking country house style of hotel set in delightful gardens. Through the front door, it exudes a false degree of elegance with a tiny broom cupboard of a reception desk. My room was long and narrow and so it necessitated a limbo action to pass between the bed and TV fixed to the wall. The large bathroom was shabby and tired with just a bath. No toiletries other than a generic shampoo/body wash dispenser. The bar was a disaster. The barman was slow due to a lack of glasses and stock. Every order was greeted with 'I just need to get ....'. Dinner in the delightfully appointed restaurant resembled a scene from an Agatha Christie novel. Upon arrival, I immediately ordered my food (main course only) which finally arrived just over an hour later!! It was shockingly bad. I tried to explain to the barman who was now waiter, that I wasn't prepared to pay for my meal as it was terrible and I had hardly touched it. The waiter went off to get "authorisation" from the Manager who made no appearance throughout the evening let alone face me over my complaint. I want to note that I did offer to make a financial contribution to my meal. Such potential yet, in the main, almost everything fell below an acceptable level. Breakfast was quite pleasant although I feel that cheap 'value bread' for toast falls well below acceptability. It is 48 years since I last stayed at the hotel and I can guarantee that it will be 48 more years before I return!

The front of house and breakfast waiter were brilliant. The stairs leading up to the bedroom are unsafe and not being able to get a drink or something after 9 is a bit disappointing.

Lovely old Manor House hotel. Conveniently located, good parking and very friendly, helpful staff. My room was good, all the linen was clean and it was perfect for my stay. Cleaners could dust slightly better but overall, no big problem. I would definitely stay again.

It’s a nice hotel, a bit outdated. The front desk was excellent, the breakfast good, the WiFi non-existent and the room was hot

A quirky hotel. As you’d expect with a manor. Very period. Nice room, comfortable bed, decent shower. Breakfast was okay. Staff seemed to be doing a lot of multi tasking. Dinner stopped at 8pm so I got a Just Eat delivered. Breakfast was okay but not a huge selection.

Lovely country hotel with beautiful gardens and pool. We had a very comfortable 'Superior double' room on the ground floor with access to a patio area. We were in a party of 10 celebrating a friendship of 50 years duration and used the private dining area. The breakfast and dining was very reasonably priced and good and the junior staff were exceptional, however the senior staff we encountered were less welcoming. The bar closed very early (10 pm the first night and 10:30 on Saturday night) and we were asked to vacate the bar area and return to our rooms with no flexibility and not in the politest of ways! There was also only one member of staff cooking breakfast and one serving and no arrangements had been made for catering for a group of 10 for breakfast on the second day. This did not detract from our stay, nor would it stop us from recommending this hotel, however some flexible options and hospitality training would not go amiss.
