The shower head was moldy and the drain was slow. Some of the staff seemed irritated by us being there. There isn't a bar on premises like the pictures show. Coffee maker but no coffee and none of the markets we went to had coffee grounds. Air conditioner worked well and cleaning staff were nice. Front desk people were quite friendly.

This is one of my favorite places to stay in Playa del Carmen. It's close to the beach and 5th Ave but is still quiet.

In the classic Mexican traditional style, the rooms were nice. Plenty of hot water.

Nice, clean hacienda style place. Good air conditioning; beds were comfortable; room size was good; location was excellent. Only complaint was water in shower never got above tepid and on Thursday and Friday night I could hear/feel base of music from a bar down the street. It wasn’t bad and didn’t keep me awake, but noticed it in the background when I was awake. I figure it is a small trade off for the great location and being able to walk everywhere I wanted.

Hotel was hard to find ! No free/easy parking available...had to pay $20 to private park.

The hotel is in a great location—just a short walk to the beach, souvenir shops, the ferry, and the ADO bus station, making it easy to get around. The area felt safe, and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. Room service did an excellent job making the bed and respecting our belongings, which we appreciated. However, the room itself was quite stuffy and had a noticeable moldy smell, likely due to the humidity and the age of the building. The door didn’t close properly, causing it to make noises throughout our stay. Also, there is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. The biggest downside was the WiFi—it simply didn’t work. Overall, if you’re looking for a convenient location and don’t mind some maintenance issues, this could be an option, but improvements are needed.

Absolutely charming!!!!

The hotel was okay for my one night stay. Having to carry my 2- 50 pound suitcases up 3 floors was not so good. There was no one to help. The staff is very friendly. The one strange thing was that you are not allowed to drink your beer in the lobby or lower level but you can drink it on the street. All in all it was good.

We have stayed here several times. Always friendly staff and clean rooms! We love how close it is located to 5th Ave! Recommend this hotel!
