This hotel is simply beautiful. The staff makes you feel like royalty. The view is beautiful but not accessible or visible from the inside. I wish they build an observation deck in the future. Great conservation of the building. Neat clean all around. Great gourmet food. The best was breakfast. I missed a hair dryer, but a small detail for such a wonderful experience.

Aunque nos advirtieron la piscina no estaba en funcionamiento. En el lugar donde está ubicado no hay restaurantes ni mucho que hacer. Y todas las comidas en el hotel que no están incluidas en la tarifa son muy costosas con respecto a hoteles similares.

We absolutely loved this hotel right in the middle of Santa Catarina Palopó. Away from the busyness of Panajachel but a close drive into town if you need to access things or take the lanchas to the other villages. We took tuk tuks to get around and there was also parking at the hotel. The town itself was super charming and it was also easy to get a private lancha from near the hotel. All the staff was super kind and attentive and the entire hotel was well maintained and spotless. Beautiful views, we absolutely would come back here! Check out the town, there’s an incredible candle shop, coffee shop and beautiful textiles to purchase and support the local artisans right outside the hotel.

The property is well maintained and clean. The restaurant in the hotel is okay but they are very pushy on tips and did not appreciate that. The customer service in the restaurant was also okay as they were not very attentive. The TV in the room did not work and I had to ask for almost everything. The room has no hair dryer, not enough lights, excessive ants/bugs, and no mini fridge. Also, the location is not the best as there is not many walkable restaurants and activities. The views from hotel are stunning but not really satisfied.

We had a lovely stay. The staff was incredible and property had lovely views.

This was the perfect place for views, great food and some r&r. I will be recommending this place to everyone the pool and hot springs were the perfect end to each day. A great location to be able to have access to the town. Also close to the mirador hike!

The shower curtain had mold on it. The staff were cold, some waiters cracked a smile, but smiles and friendliness was limited. Overall very relaxing place and the food was good. I had an excellent massage in my room by Blanca. I recommend Blanca for massage.

The staff are all AMAZING go out of their way to help. Have the best sunrise & sunset view ever seen. I love love my stay here

The lovely Hotel Villa Santa Catarina is Guatemalan-owned. Beautiful two pools, great view of the lake, and a short tuk-tuk ride to Panajachel. The restaurant on site is fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Room was spacious - no A/C, but not a problem with the cool lake breeze at night.

The hotel is okay, most of the natural beauty around it makes it look a lot better. There is no AC so be prepared to be warm during the day. Our room was over an hour and a half late and we were not compensated whatsoever even though we were waiting for them. It's time for isn't overly attentive and the wait time for the food is definitely not worth it.

Good

The pools and gardens are lovely as you come into the courtyard off a street lined with lights and colorful hanging basket streamers leading down to the water. I loved the sounds of the school next door. The room was great, staff was friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was the best on this whole trip. It was easy to get a taxi to Panajachel for the public water shuttles around to the other villages.

Cozy, quaint, great staff, lovely grounds, rooms had nice terraces and a great pool. Unique small town on Lake Atitlan, less crowded than others and town park close by with great sunsets over the lake. Good meals.

Always a great time there

Staff was helpful, the room was clean although I thought it would have better bathroom amenities. There was also a lot of groundskeeping activity very early on Sunday morning. The food was delicious, overall it was a great and relaxing stay.

The place is beautiful, and the views are incredible. The customer service was also outstanding!
