Really nice clean hotel, friendly, helpful staff and a lovely breakfast.

They checked us in early which was really appreciated as we were attending the touchdown festival.

Absolutely lovely overnight stay. Room felt spacious, was very clean and comfortable. From checking in to leaving the staff were welcoming and exceptionally polite. Breakfast offered a good choice and the staff provided excellent service.

This hotel is Amazing! Staff are ALL outstanding particularly Andrea in tje restaurant and Linda on reception!

Facilities looking a bit tired and dated but nice and clean. Was impressed with vegan options on the dinner menu and the quality of the food was very good overall. Service was also very good. Shame that the spa is a mile away so didn’t bother to use it. Parking a bit tricky. Prob won’t use again as didn’t like the location, but was convenient for us as a one night stopover in a long journey. Pluses are definitely dinner and lovely service.

Decent hotel in Darlington, although the gym is not on-site and this isn't very clear when booking. Could probably do with some updating, my room felt a little bit dated - but was comfortable. Car-park was a good size and I was able to park ons-it no problem.

My bedroom was clean and comfortable, with an incredibly comfortable bed. However, the bathroom was poorly maintained and in need of renovation. The black grouting and stained bathtub made it an unpleasant space.

What you see is definitely not what you get! The hotel and its facilities are tired and desperately needs a makeover. The room had a bad smell, the extractor in the bathroom was not working and no air conditioning just a small pesky and ineffective fan. Would have scored lower but for the hotel staff (except the receptionist when we checked in) were friendly and courteous. I will not be staying in a Bannatyne hotel again anytime soon.

Great stay for a business traveller clean,tidy and plenty of character. Access to a great gym too…..

Hotel was lovely the room was beautiful with 4 poster bed. The only thing I would say is that you don’t get to use the pool or spa and when I booked it. It didn’t say you had to pay extra on the booking at the time so that was abit disappointing. Apart from that location is great. We walked into Darlington for dinner.
