We are a family of five with three sons and this place was perfect for us. We had a suite with a great view of the lake and we really enjoyed walking on some of the surrounding trails. The room had all of the modern conveniences and the breakfast was amazing. We really enjoyed staying here.

The hotel has an enviable location on Lake Lucerne. The views from both the terrace and room were breathtaking. The room was clean, comfortable and well presented. My children loved sleeping upstairs in the eves. The food is local, generous and well prepared. You eat literally sitting yards from the lake with the mountains facing you. The main plus though are the staff. They are extremely professional, know their role and do a great job in allowing ypu to have a fantastic stay. I will definitely come back. If you like their website, you will love the hotel and the staff.

An amazing family holiday

Hotel Nidwaldernhof was a little out of the way but totally worth it for the views from the restaurant, the incredible dinner and best breakfast buffet on our entire "grand tour of Switzerland" trip. The pillows could be replaced and the A/C was on the fritz due to the rain the night before. But the lodging was a great deal for the free amazing breakfast.

Outstanding: environment, service, cuisine. Easy access from highway, lake access, parking, beautiful rooms and views. We are practically planning driving routes now to require an overnight there. That's a top-notch hotel! Their consistent concept about what's important is winning.

Excellent hotel with under cover parking for free . If staying more than a night ask for the half board option as will save you some money . The ferry to Lucerne was worth the trip , also a good base to do some if not most of the attractions

Great hotel, good parking for cars and vans, lovely rooms , spacious , comfortable, great balcony with amazing views! And breakfast was very good. Glad i book here.

Never stay at this location

We had a fabulous times at this hotel and hiking up to the top of the mountain around the area, such a great area to spend times with friends or even family for whom like peaceful time. We love every moment staying there will be back again for definite . All the natural settings there such a healing place to be .

Absolutely fabulous location, right on the edge of Lake Lucerne. Restaurant is waterside with magical views over the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Finish in the rooms was to a modern high standard. The shower was a little tight! We had a 2 room family suite where the beds were very comfortable. I would love to stay again.

A very pleasant stay at this beautiful hotel and locale. The rooms were nice, the breakfasts were very good, and he staff was attentive and pleasant.

amazing staff, great restaurant, and superb views of the lake and mountains. It's right next to the boat dock for a quick ride to a neighboring city and more spectacular views.

Location excellent with gorgeous views. An hour ferry ride from Lucerne was magical. Staff were so friendly and helpful. New and clean throughout, Dinner was tasty and reasonably priced.
