Family room was a good size, but it had stained carpets, cobwebs hanging in the corners of the bathroom. Base of the bed was made from PVC but this was well worn and cracked so made the room look tatty. The room had no soundproofing what so ever, so tv’s and occupants could be heard clearly from both sides of our room. The ‘SPA’ was anything but relaxing. The pool was so cold it was uncomfortable to be in, even after a few quick lengths to try and get used to the temperature. The children were shivering and unable to enjoy the pool, so all gravitated to the hot tub meaning no adults could use it. Broken plastic drainage surrounded the pool. Changing room lockers were either broken completely, or locks were very temperamental. The shower area smelt like the drains were blocked so avoided them and went back to the room. Breakfast was very poor, one small bowl of fresh fruit to share with the dining room. Fresh juices were almost empty and not topped up during the time we were there, English breakfast items were lukewarm. It suited our needs as we needed to stay in the area but overall really disappointed with the price I paid. Would not look to return again.

I was kept awake most of the night by a loud television in a neighbouring room which was finally switched off at about 5.15 am. The mens changing room for the pool was a disgrace. Locker doors were missing or hanging off. The locks didn't work. Two of the four showers didn't work. Fittings had been ripped of the walls so there was no shower soap.

Customer service was poor. Waited at reception for around 15 minutes with no one there.

This hotel was comfortable and had lovely grounds to walk in plus a good spa set up. The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly, polite and helpful and the food was nice and tasty. Electric car charging was available but it was very slow and expensive

Room clean and fresh and nicely decorated. Very hot though. Breakfast was average so a bit disappointing. Eggs were overcooked, bacon was very dry.

Staff in the hotel, were very friendly, service was very good, but the staff in the spa, let them down. Mix up over treatment dates on their part meant I missed out on a treatment, no apology was offered and the girl who dealt with me was off hand and very unhelpful. She didn't even try to sort it out, I ended up having to have a refund which really spoilt my whole spa break. Don't think I'll be returning anytime soon

OK stay. Bed large but I found it uncomfortable. The curtain track fell out of the wall when I opened them in the morning. Pool closed during my one night stay - I booked hotel for the pool. I booked through a third party so not the hotel's fault. Used a lovely municipal pool in Bromsgrove instead. Didn't eat at the hotel so no idea what food is like.

Fantastic hotel, great service, very comfortable and clean room. Swimming pool changing rooms could do with a freshen up. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room were closed for 3 days of my trip for maintenance. Breakfast was lovely and a great selection. Restaurant slightly overpriced for main meals. I enjoyed my stay that much that I have rebooked for May when I return for work.

Only a 1 night trip - didnt see much of the hotel - went down to the pool around 5pm but was very busy. Reception staff very friendly / helpful - had a meal further down the road at the Marston inn - microwave lasagne , not great.

Lovely location and very helpful staff. Loved the pool and facilities, but changing areas did feel a bit under loved. Lots of broken lockers and showers. Travelled with a baby so had room service in the evening, which was a very small menu and afraid to say I wasn't blown away with what we ordered. Room was a good size and breakfast was very good in the morning.

This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. This was a business stay for myself and my colleagues. It seems I had the better room of the 4 of us but that was still in quite poor condition. The base bases were made from 2 completely different beds (even different colours!) pushed together. The bed bases themselves were torn and shabby as was the headboard. The desk chair was heavily worn and stained. The tea try was filthy as were the windows and window frames which were also rotting. The sink taps in my colleagues room were so rusty they didn't turn. My room looked like it had been given a recent coat of paint and the carpet was clean. Bed was worn but comfy. Poor quality bedding. I chose not to use the pool or spa based on the dreadful reviews. The hotel did redeem it's slightly with the lovely staff and surprisingly good breakfast. Grounds are beautiful. Could be a really lovely hotel with investment and renovation.

Great spa facilities, but it seems like the rest of the hotel missed the memo. Half the lockers are out of action, the room came with complimentary limescale and mystery stains, and the shower selection featured a side of mould. The lift was on a permanent holiday, and despite requesting a call from the manager, I guess they’re stuck on voicemail. A little TLC would go a long way!

Overall a very pleasant stay, lovely staff and spa facilities. Staff were accommodating and friendly, Room was nice and well put together. Unfortunately, the shower flooded at times and needed two large towels to be placed on the floor to stop this from completely flooding the bathroom, the drain was slow and this caused the flood. The double bed was actually two twin beds together which was not an issue but during our stay the beds kept pushing apart and leaving a gap in the middle of them which was uncomfortable and one bed was actually lower than the other when lay in which again was uncomfortable and wasn’t exactly what we expected of our stay. The bathroom was clean in the rooms and overall clean in the main room. The spa changing rooms were dirty on the floor and most lockers did not appear to be working and myself and several other women had trouble using them or opening ones. The pool area its self was very clean though and was a nice environment. The breakfast was very nice and as expected and advertised. Would avoid getting drinks at the hotel bar every night as for two single alcoholic drinks it cost £24.50, was affordable for one round but multiple rounds would have been very expensive. Breakfast is 6:30-9:30 which we found slightly early for a hotel. Typically around 7-10:30 but obviously just a little inconvenience to our stay.
