The activities to do throughout the day made our stay very enjoyable, who would’ve thought That my wife and I would enjoy doing water aerobics and Zumba, so much fun! The crew that led these two activities were very energetic and into their jobs.

The food definitely needed some work to it some food tasted old even though the buffet just opened. More selection needed. Pool and beach were nice.

We loved our stay at Barcelo Maya Caribe. The facilities were in great condition and of great convenience to our group. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

This is our second time at this resort. My adult children now want to go once a year. Its a beautiful place with lots of food, entertainment and shopping options. I highly recommend it here. If you can book moon palace.

We had a beautiful sunny week at the Barcelo Maya Caribe end of February 2025. The last day of our vacation we spent at the beach - the kids loved playing with the sand. Little did we know we would regret our beach decision so much! Some terrible days and nights followed our stay at the resort. The flight back was horrific since both my children - 1 and 4 - caught sand fleas/mites and were itching 20 percent of their body - mainly their legs and feet. This turned out to be a very very long flight back for us and some sleepless nights. Obviously, we are very disappointed and it left a very bad aftertaste to our vacation. Besides that, the stay was great, and the wedding we attended was awesome!

The area is great, but the food at the buffets could be better. The staff doesn’t speak English.

Lack of pool chairs and beach chairs. Lack of bartenders, poor choices for food. Drinks were weak. Food wasn’t labeled correctly. Having a dress code for all the restaurants excepting the buffets

We had an amazing trip to Mexico and really enjoyed our stay at Barcelo. The resort was clean and beautiful. We were upgraded when we arrived from Maya Caribe to Maya Riviera adults only which was a treat since we were travelling without our kids. We did walk along the entire beach and looked at all the hotels and they all seemed equally as impressive. The restaurants at the Maya Riviera were AMAZING. We did not have one bad meal or experience. We booked as soon as we got there and had reservations for the whole week. The staff everywhere were friendly, attentive and hard working. There is a bus that takes you from one resort to the other. The beach and sand are beautiful. It was at times hard to get a chair at the beach first thing in the morning, but eventually it cleared out. Always lots of chairs around the pools. It never felt crowded or busy. There’s nightly entertainment at multiple properties, mini golf, bowling, arcade games, so much food, casino, shopping. I noted the resort seemed very accessible - lots of elevators and ramps. There were people in wheelchairs and they had beach wheelchairs. Overall we were extremely impressed. This was only my second time to Mexico and my husbands first time, but we travelled with friends who have been there many times and said this hotel was by far the best. We are already talking about going back with our kids.

All of the staff was very friendly and the little shops were nice. There is an onsite clinic and pharmacy. It was hard to get reservations to the restaurants.
