Across the board stellar stay

I booked Lugal Hotel in Ankara expecting the standards shown on Expedia but the room was filthy. There was hair on the bed; we were disgusted and left immediately. I showed the manager, Murat, photographic evidence, but he responded uncooperatively, insisting this was “normal” and refusing a full refund despite having the authority to provide one. His communication and customer-relations skills were unprofessional and lacking — an embarrassment to the hotel and inconsistent with Expedia’s standards. He is a terrible representation for what a manager should do in this type of situation. This could happen to other guests at any time. Avoid this property at all costs. This property should be delisted from Expedia.

The staff at the Lugal is what makes this hotel extra special. They really make me feel at home. As a business man there is nothing better that being greeted by Ali or get assistance with a big smile by Yagmur at the reception. That is one of the reasons I keep going back to the Lugal...

My stay at Lugal Hotel in Ankara was wonderful! The staff truly made the experience stand out. Sinem made check-in a breeze, and Aysima ensured my checkout was efficient and friendly. A special mention to Bura, who went above and beyond in guiding me on where to go and what to see in the city. The hotel itself was luxurious and comfortable, with excellent service throughout. I highly recommend staying here for a great experience in Ankara.

Location

There was a smell of smoke in our non smoking room. We reserved two rooms and both of them were snelling

The Lugal is a high end property with a luxurious boutique feeling that I truly appreciated, It is not the first time I stay there and I now feel home each time i stay at the Lugal.

Always a fantastic place to stay with a relaxed and calm atmosphere. All the staff are great and offer help without any hesitation.

The staff are wonderful. They gave me an upgrade to a suite since it was available. everyone was super polite and super helpful. very clean. nicely located and walkable to shops and cafes.

Such a lovely & pleasant stay. Absolutely clean, especially during the pandemic with a baby & couldn’t feel safer. Excellent location with access to everything that you can imagine with an absolutely safe feeling. The staff was very respectively helpful 24/7. Their English was very fluent & they were extremely helpful in all matters; we had no problem at all. Would recommend anybody to this lovely unique hotel with a private & luxury experience. Definitely would come straight back to this beautiful hotel again with no doubt about it. Thank you so much & can’t wait to come back & see them all again. In one word, Excellent!!

This property is falsely advertised. We were sold a suite we received a room I wouldn’t allow my dogs to stay in. The staff could not understand what our problem with a room could be from being dirty to the linen to the towels to the dirty bathroom to the shabby dirty coffee stained carpets. This was meant to be the luxury part of the Sheraton Hotel In Ankara that it is connected too sadly it was more like the Ibis version. We ordered room service and both were mysteriously going to the bathroom often the next day. We got stuck between what they class as a “spa” and the hotel elevator for 20 minutes because the key system supposedly has problems near cellphones in 2021. An experience would not be justice for this hotel maybe a nightmare but it would be being kind. Stay clear of this hotel is the politest tip I can give to any traveller. (This hotel upset us that much that we decided to give feedback for a change)

Amazing stay, very kind staff, good evening lounge, during COVID 19 the swimming pool was closed but this is understood.
