We stayed in the Maple room was lovely except Shower pressure was really poor, black mould in the window and on blind not really the right set up for that bathroom hard not to get water all over the window sill

This is a lovely hotel with lots of charm. Our room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a friendly welcome on arrival and won’t hesitate to stay here again. We felt it was very good value compared to what the larger chains charge for hotels with little or know character.

Lovely hotel with really good room - although the shower took a bit of figuring out. Food is very good, not cheap but great quality. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff are friendly and very helpful.

We found all of the staff very friendly, knowledgable and attentive to every detail, they would sort something without waiting to be asked Very comfortable dining and the food was excellent. Wonderful location and very pleasant surroundings. We had an unfortunate accident one morning with a cut that bled badly the staff were brilliant and had everything sorted wih bandages first aid was on offer and a swift clean up. Could not have asked for more.

The hotel lived up to expectations and the buildings were built of the lovely soft Gloucestershire. It was a shame that the outside seating for the bar like being in a car park and close to the road. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Super convenient for Highgrove Gardens. Staff friendly….especially the young men working behind the bar. Comfortable single rooms with full facilities and parking for all.

Overall, the hotel is very pleasant and well-presented. However, our room (35) had virtually no water pressure in the shower, which was frankly shocking. It’s difficult to understand how a room in this condition is still being offered to guests in 2025. In contrast, our family’s room had a newly renovated bathroom and functioned perfectly well, so the difference was quite stark. Additionally, although we arrived late, the check-in process was unnecessarily slow. Despite having emailed a month in advance to confirm that we were bringing our dog—and receiving acknowledgment of this—the hotel initially claimed no dog-friendly rooms were available. While they eventually accommodated us, we were told our dog would need to be on her “best behaviour,” which felt unnecessarily pointed given the prior arrangements.

Didn’t like that the breakfast didn’t open until 7.30 am , so I left without eating.

Lovely spacious room/suite .. Quiet, great car parking & straight out onto lovely footpaths/countrysde ! Easy reach of Tetbury & Cirencester is within reach .. Highly recommend.

we had a room that was very near where deliveries were made\ to the hotel and they started at 7 and where v noisy perhaps they could get them later??

Fantastic manor setting with beautiful gardens. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Room was very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at The Hare & Hounds. The hotel and grounds are just stunning, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and we had everything we needed. We just feel that the food and drink are quite overpriced. It's a great place for a special occasion.
