Welcomed by a very friendly receptionist and advised where best to park on site and where the room is located - the hotel has several separate buildings Large, pet-friendly, ground floor room with easy access to hotel grounds. Dinner at the hotel was ok, if a little on the pricey side for quantity and quality. Breakfast great with a good selection of hot and cold choices. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay again but personally, may choose to eat elsewhere.

Enjoyed staying here lovely old Cotswold stone style Manor House room was fine looked over garden so was quiet I liked having a room that allowed you to open windows ! Highlight for me was the breakfast everything to my liking and staff all very pleasant.

Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Best service I’ve ever had with such friendly and helpful staff without getting in your way. Beautiful room and hotel with every room kept clean and comfortable with beautiful decor and a cosy atmosphere. A perfect getaway.

Room was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Unfortunately, we felt the quality of the food didn’t reflect the price. We paid around £100 for an evening meal which included two mains, a shared Camembert to start, and two drinks, but we didn’t feel the quality of the food justified the price tag. The meal itself was quite bland and lacked imagination. The sauce with the main was overly salty, and the bread was extremely dry, as though it had been left under a hot lamp for some time before being served. Breakfast was also disappointing. We again felt the food may have been cooked some time before serving. The mushrooms were dry and had very little taste, and both the meat and eggs had a slight fishy residue taste. Next time we would probably choose to have breakfast elsewhere. It’s a shame, because aside from the food, everything else about our stay was fantastic and the staff were lovely.

We stayed in the Maple room was lovely except Shower pressure was really poor, black mould in the window and on blind not really the right set up for that bathroom hard not to get water all over the window sill

This is a lovely hotel with lots of charm. Our room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a friendly welcome on arrival and won’t hesitate to stay here again. We felt it was very good value compared to what the larger chains charge for hotels with little or know character.

Lovely hotel with really good room - although the shower took a bit of figuring out. Food is very good, not cheap but great quality. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff are friendly and very helpful.

We found all of the staff very friendly, knowledgable and attentive to every detail, they would sort something without waiting to be asked Very comfortable dining and the food was excellent. Wonderful location and very pleasant surroundings. We had an unfortunate accident one morning with a cut that bled badly the staff were brilliant and had everything sorted wih bandages first aid was on offer and a swift clean up. Could not have asked for more.

The hotel lived up to expectations and the buildings were built of the lovely soft Gloucestershire. It was a shame that the outside seating for the bar like being in a car park and close to the road. The staff were friendly and helpful.
