Beautiful resort, exceptional service. I upgraded to reserve and am so glad I did. My concierge Alfonso was phenomenal!! He was attentive but also gave me space. He provide surprises to my room throughout my stay which made me feel special. The extra it cost for the upgrade was well worth it. Restaurants and service, excellent. Sal’s steakhouse was such a treat, food was spectacular. The spa was beautiful and relaxing. I can’t say enough good things. I want to come back with my granddaughter when she’s a bit older for the family side.

We loved this resort, beautiful rooms and great food. Staff is above any I have experienced. Only issue was that our outdoor hot tub didn’t work. They did come to work on it, but I was unable to use it for two days .

Our stay was incredible. Our concierge Fabián made sure our stay was perfect. He was communicative, thoughtful, informative, and went above & beyond for us over & over again. The property was beautiful, food was yummy, drinks were strong, everyone was so polite and kind. As a queer couple, we are always nervous about how we’ll be treated while traveling, but happy to report we were treated like every other couple, which is refreshing! The only negative is that we went during seaweed season so the smell was really bad on the property & we couldn’t go in the ocean, but our swim up room and the multiple pools made it worth it!

The food was good entertainment at night very very poor absolutely nothing to do price for a coconut ridiculously high. Would not go again until they offer more entertainment at night better beach.. I was very disappointed.

Not as it once was. The bell hop and restaurant staff, even by the pool are amazing, hardworking, and helped the customer experience. The Reserve concierge staff, are not a good fit for their roles. Luis is the one to welcomed us, thay really soured oir experience. He lacked enthusiasm and was rude. When you asked him for help, he was condescending and treated you like a bother. Cynthia, who was supposed to be our private concierge, lacked anticipation or the desire to even help you. She didn't give us a tour of the resort and had crappy attitude overall. We questioned what was the point of upgrading to The Reserve experience if the concierge staff have poor service, empathy, or desire to help give a warm and pleasant experience. Cynthia talked to us like we were being commmanded and she had zero hospitality. Her WhatsApp messages were very automated and she had no grace or consideration in person. She knew it was a family vacation and she ignored all the useful insights to help make our stay memorable. This is our 3rd Paradisus line booking and due to Cynthia and Luis, we will never book with Paradisus or Melia again. Why would you advertise a Luxury and memorable experience when you can't even have a concierge team that actually wants to help. They should promote the staff from the pool like Alfredo or servers at the Hadar loke Ernesto, Nelvia, and Jorge, as they know how to provide a great customer experience and makes you feel welcome.

The property was beautiful and very relaxing. There is a family resort attached. It was nice because we stayed in the adults only and our younger family members stayed on family side and we could enjoy adult side as well as family dining and pools during the day with our younger family members. It was a long way out of town so nothing very close. A very hot long walk to 5th avenue snd port. Spent quite a bit of extra money on taxi rides to go anywhere. Resort is very amazing so you don’t need to go anywhere. But we like to get exposed to culture outside of fancy resort so we enjoy getting off property a little. Plenty of pools and dining. Gorgeous and tranquil atmosphere. Very spread out so be prepared to get your steps in which I loved but if you have limited mobility you need to upgrade to family concierge or reserve. I would definitely return. Due to time of year (May) beach and ocean was unusable due to sea weed. Overall a real jewel of a resort!

Our concierge, Eduardo, was amazing! He went over and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Everyone at La Perla was friendly and we had a wonderful time. The food was excellent too.

We stayed for 5 nights and it was a good time. Property was very clean with good food. The staff were kind and helpful. Buffet at Hadar was great, Ismael, Shaira & Victor were great here along with others we sadly did not catch their names. Lows, lots of seaweed. The heat seemed to exasperate the issue.

Typical all inclusive. Older property that needs updating. Buffet was as expected but sadly the specialty restaurants were not good the steak house being the biggest disappointment. The swim out Reserve “quiet pool” was dirty & not maintained. The larger pools were so slippery and with that many people they need chemicals. Clear markings where they have not been scrubbed. Employees are so kind and friendly, housekeeping was amazing! NO FANS in any open air spaces or closed to circulate air so be prepared to be very hot, it was 92 daily. But plenty of chairs, clean towels and cabanas. Entertainment was cultural and so amazing (highlight). Low water pressure and we lost power several times. Honestly would not recommend & it’s significantly more money than other all inclusive for what reason we couldn’t figure out. Beach wasn’t available but that was nature not the resort.

The property was beautiful. The food and drinks were 3 out of 5. The service was very good. Oscar at the Fahrenheit bar is the absolute best. The downside was on our last night they had rolling blackouts and it disrubted our last night and we couldn't enjoy ourselves because our hot tub didn't work, it was pitch black and it was scary to hangout in our swimout pool and the television never worked again.

Staff was courteous and super attentive. Grounds are immaculate, well kept and maintained. Food was Delicious. Plenty of activities to keep busy as well as time for quiet and relaxation. Would return in a heartbeat. Loved this resort.

We had a wonderful stay. Upgrading to the Reserve was well worth it. Access to an additional restaurant, pool, and steak-house menu items were all valuable adds. Room was spacious and comfortable. Pools were close by and roomy. Swim up bars were well stocked and staffed by great bartenders. Can't really offer any critical comments.

We had a reservation with this property and due to travel documents not being ready in time,we tried to contact the property to see if we can reschedule our reservation. After calling twice they transferred me and it just hung up on me both times. After the third time calling, they gave me an email for a front desk help. I emailed on April 30. It is now May 16 and I still haven’t heard anything back. The communication on this property is almost impossible and you are thrown into a circle of endlessness. It’s very unfortunate because we really wanted to be a returning customer and wanted to plan our wedding at this resort and the fact that we got absolutely no help is very disappointing. Customer service is absolutely terrible and now we lost a reservation with absolutely no help at all. It seems they don’t care about people staying here and they just care about taking your money. It is now May 16 and I just called again and asked for an email or phone number for a manager and they just told me they couldn’t help me and I have to call back the most unprofessionalism I’ve ever experienced.
