We booked the Grand Suite which was beautiful and comfortable with our own access to a private garden. Bianca at the reception was most courteous, helpful and friendly - she even helped us carry our luggage from the car. The hotel is in a great location with walking distance to the city center. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciate Bianca’s hospitality. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Bath.

For a 5-star hotel, I expected something more than a room in the basement. A small amount of sunlight and a squaint odour in the room. The room from the website looked literally differen

We loved staying at this property. It was so convenient to walk into the city and there was ample parking. Staff were extremely friendly and we enjoyed a nightcap in the lounge every night. Our room was gorgeous and had lovely views, but could do with a deep clean of walls and carpets. The bathroom was huge! The bed was extremely comfortable.

Our stay at The Ayrlington was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, the room was beautifully appointed with classic charm and modern comforts, and the location offered stunning views and easy access to the heart of Bath. The tranquil garden and peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a true escape. The only slight letdown was breakfast — while the quality was good, clearer communication from the serving staff would have made the experience even better. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended for anyone visiting Bath.

We were made to feel so welcome and immediately felt at home there. Breakfast was fabulous and the room was super comfortable. We will be going back and highly recommend it.

Staff were excellant as well as the morning breskfast.

We stayed for one night but it was a great stay. The front desk staff was so incredibly kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend!

Location is wonderful

Excellent greeting on arrival. Very attentive and very helpful. She carried our suitcases to the top floor. The room was very hot at night enforcing a poor night’s sleep. Breakfast was good quality and service very good. Thank you.

The hostess at the hotel was very friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and clean. I did, however, book the room because it was meant to have a bath and it did not have one. Parking was a good price for bath city centre but the cleaner had blocked me in and seemed annoyed that she had to move her car for me to get out and leave.

Characterful property. Lovely bright and spacious room with outlook towards the city and views of bowling green. Very pleasant garden. Breakfast was of a very high quality. Easy walking distance to and from city centre.

Wonderful stay at the Ayrlington. Comfort and convenience in a place where you feel like you, as a guest, matter to them. From the friendly welcome, being shown to our room to the lovely little touches like the personalised welcome note. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay is provided in the beautifully adorned and wonderfully scented rooms. The bed linen, the towels and robes were all fresh and of a high quality. The bed and pillows were also very good and we enjoyed a restful night's sleep. The heat was self controlled and a fan was also provided for warmer months. Easy parking is also available if needed at a good price of £10 per night. We are very happy to have found this beautiful place to stay and it will definitely be our first choice when we next visit the fabulous city of Bath.

Lovely period property and attractive garden. Bed was comfortable but bit of a shame about the uncomfortable pillows. Would be definitely worth investing in some new ones. A room with a fridge would had been more desirable. In all very good value and enjoyable stay. Thank you Anette for looking after us! Superb hostess.

The staff in reception and the restaurant are all excellent. Parking was good because we arrived at the 2pm check in time. The 2 walking routes into the centre of Bath are easy and take only 10-15 minutes. We had breakfast on 2 days and were delighted with the quality of the cooked meals.

We had a locket stay, the hotel set up the room beautifully for me and my partner’s anniversary. Clearly a lot of thought was put into it which we appreciated. the room was clean and lovely. would definitely stay here again
