I am submitting this complaint regarding my stay on February 8, 2026. Approximately two hours after check-in (around 2:00 PM), the temperature in my room was 26°C (78.8°F). This is not a comfortable or reasonable temperature for a hotel room. I contacted the front desk. A maintenance employee came to the room and stated that 26°C was “normal.” When I asked to speak with a manager, the same individual claimed he was also the manager. No alternative solution was offered. The issue was never resolved during my stay. I requested either: • Proper adjustment of the room temperature, or • A refund so I could book alternative accommodations Neither was provided. Additionally, follow-up communication through Marriott later reflected that the hotel had contacted me, which is inaccurate. No contact was ever made. Because the property failed to provide a reasonable solution and did not correct the issue, I am requesting Expedia’s assistance in reviewing this matter and considering refund eligibility due to unresolved comfort and service failure.

Avoid City Express Nogales if you value basic comfort, professionalism, or honesty. I stayed here on February 8, 2026, and my room temperature was locked at 26°C (approximately 79°F). I contacted the front desk, and they sent a maintenance employee who introduced himself as Josué and also claimed he was the manager. Instead of fixing the problem, I was told that 26°C / 79°F was “normal.” It is absolutely NOT normal or acceptable for a hotel room when a guest is clearly uncomfortable. Although there was a thermostat in the room, I could not set the temperature to what I wanted because the hotel centrally controls the system. The hotel controls the power and temperature settings, meaning guests have no real control over the temperature in their own rooms. What was shocking was how unprofessional the situation felt. This employee seemed more concerned with explaining why he couldn’t refund my money than actually resolving the issue. No real attempt to adjust the temperature. No alternative room. No solution. I escalated this to Marriott Bonvoy corporate. Their response was to open a case and say the hotel would contact me within 5 business days. That does nothing for a problem affecting a guest during their stay. Room 414 had problems with electrical outlets. Had difficulty to charge laptop and phones. Furniture is quite outdated and beat up.
