Stayed on top floor with skylights. Beautiful room, clean, cozy bed, and robe and slippers were provided. Loved Catalonia at Plaza Mayor.

Front desk staff very unfriendly, not helpful at all with any question we asked. Everything was an effort for them.

This was a great hotel. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Big, comfy bed and window overlooking the inner terrace. Within walking distance to the Prado and Plaza Major. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Very clean and well kept. Comfortable room with amazing shower. Good air conditioning. Wonderful and friendly staff. Fantastic location. Delicious breakfast with huge variety, coffee is very good. Smoking area is charming. Quiet despite being on the main road to Plaza Majo. 100% recommend

We could walk to the attractions from the hotel. There were a lot a shops & restaurants nearby. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice.

Property was good, but in our room the ac was broken didn’t work very well. At night it got very hot. Hair dryer in the washroom stopped working after using for 5 mins. Overall hotel was clean. We had a confusion in regards to booking date and we didn’t stay there the first night, when we talked to hotel they said to talk to Expedia and when we talked to Expedia they said it’s the hotel who is not doing anything. Being an international traveller and being on a budget trip and paying $481 CAD for nothing was not fun. We stayed at many hotels and they cooperated even with complementary breakfast. But Catalonia didn’t. It would have been nice to get helped or getting accommodated with something. It was very commercialized, I wouldn’t consider my stay as an exceptional experience.

Hotel is in a very good central location. Of special mention is the great breakfast buffet.

Perfect location with easy access to Plaza Mayor and Pierre Del Sol. Nice size hotel room and comfortable bed.

Excellent location for us, easy walk to Prado, Reine Sophia and Thyssen galleries, Plaza Mayor, la Latina and the Royal Palace. A wide choice of eating places in the surrounding streets. Several small supermarkets close by. The hotel serves breakfast E23 per person which we didn’t take. There is a small bar with snacks and a room service menu. The bar attendant will supply ice to take to the room. Reception staff are very welcoming and very helpful. We, more by accident than design, booked a fully disabled room which was on the ground floor, opening onto a small courtyard. I expect rooms on higher floors, especially at the front of the hotel, would have pleasant views. The room was large by Europe standards, had air-con, a desk, two chairs, good shelf and hanging space, TV, with two English language news channels, minibar, a safe and tea/coffee tray with lots of choice, but only one of each item, and was not replenished. We found the light switches confusing. Taxi ride from the airport is currently a fixed E33 plus small supplements for weekends or late night. Taxis can be hailed on the streets and seemed plentiful even in pouring rain.

Amazing. Comfortable. Small gym but it was not busy. Great staff and very clean. Also great mattress. Usually hotels in Europe has a very soft mattress but this was perfect.

Great hotel in an interesting and busy part of the city. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and in good condition. The beds are excellent. The staff are excellent in keeping the rooms serviced. The hotel is modern, light and has an air of calmness surrounding the building. The reception staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable about their city. The surrounding area of the city has a good mix of cafes, bars and restaurants together with an interesting mix of shops. The theatre is a five minute walk from the hotel as Plaza Santa Ana.

Excellent hotel with a wonderful breakfast spread. Our room was clean every day and towels were changed every day. Highly reccomended.
