The staff. Comfy bed, nice views and in a great location!

Unfortunately me and my husband wished we had stayed at a different hotel. We checked in and were given a ground floor room next to the road. There was a half finished beer and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. This was quickly rectified by the member of staff however we were given a room again a few doors down next to a busy road. The room often didn’t lock when we first tried to close it. We were a little anxious leaving the room because of this. We had cleaning on the 2nd day and I am pretty sure the cleaner just remade our bed and took our bins away. We didn’t get clean glasses which had been used. The door also to the corridor with ground floor rooms 401-406 did not lock properly which made us more apprehensive about leaving the room as it was easy access to people staying.

Clean comfortable hotel with a very good breakfast

The hotel is modern and laid out very well. The rooms are clean and very quiet with thick double glazing. The room was warm too which was good as cold outside. We didn’t like the ‘separate duvets’ on the double bed but apparently this is a Norwegian thing. Not having any wardrobe or drawers was odd but luckily only a few days so kept things in the suitcase or on the small space for hangers. Breakfast was wonderful, highly recommended.

The local area was a treat to explore; the river meandered into the city one way and the traditional houses allowed an alternative walk into the city. The bedrooms were basic and could benefit from a security box and tea making facilities. The mattresses were extremely soft.

The rooms were spacious. Everyone was friendly. A little off the beaten path. Walkable to town but not close. Wonderful variety for breakfast

Excellent location not very far from the city center. Clean rooms and walkable to transportation. Great breakfast. Special thanks to Abida in the breakfast room. She was extremely kind, professional and caring.

A great hotel in Oslo. Walkable from city centre, maybe 15/20 minutes from Oslo S station. Great area with loads of bars/restaurants/shops and a nice park. Hotel was clean, modern, and staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was amazingly good. Only downside was poor Wi-Fi quality in hotel. Seems to be an issue in all Scandic hotels I stay in. Would have been 5 star review if Wi-Fi wasn’t so poor

We had such an amazing stay here. The breakfast is amazing, our room was very clean. It’s about a 20min walk to the centre. The only con is that the room could not be colder than 22 degrees Celsius - you should be able to adjust the temperature in your hotel room within a range. Our other scandic in Sweden allowed you to go to 18 degrees.

Great location for wandering the city. Would stay here again. Close to great coffee shops and restaurants.

The facility is immaculate. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was helpful and polite. Our dinner in the restaurant was welcomed after a very long day of travel.

Scandic is a great hotel chain and this one was no different. Friendly, multi lingual check-in. Free coffee. Even gave us a room a couple of hours early.
